co-ops and sources

Since I am relatively new to this list and uncertain what is considered

" routine " on the list I hesitate to ask this, but is it normal for someone

running a co-op to refuse to reveal the supplier?

However interested I am be in certain products, there are simply some

businesses that I will not do business with. This is my prerogative.....and

so I suppose I will not participate in those co-ops that don't list the

supplier, but I do wonder why that information would be witheld .

Especially when we deal with products that are called " natural " or " pure " or

" unadulterated " I want to KNOW who I am getting my raw materials from.

Personally I think it is down right dangerous, let alone foodhardy, to order

precious supplies from an unknown source. Especially when I am putting my

reputation behind the products I make.

Please don't think I am trying to cause trouble, or imply any wrong

doings.......that is not my intent. I am simply wondering why this happens

and thinking maybe someone has a reasonable explaination for me. If there is

a reason I am unaware of I really would appreciate someone sharing this with

me.....I'll be the first to admitt that there are many many things I don't

know......especially when it comes to business. I am learning this all

through trial and error......but I want to minimize the number of expensive

errors if I can help it.

Thanks Laurie
