Guest guest
this dvd contains five 10 minute workouts that are led by michelle dozois. the more i workout with michelle, the more i like her. i thought that she instructed all of these workouts very well. her form was perfect (imo) and she is in very good shape. first is boot camp, then pilates, next ballet, then kickboxing and finally yoga. i did each of these except for the ballet.... will fit that in next time. i didnt find these workouts to be overly difficult... i will stick with an intermediate rating, i guess. the kickboxing workout made me sweat even though i thought that she did roundhouse kicks in a weird way. the yoga workout was all basic yoga poses/stretches, definately not power yoga. i found the pilates workout to be tough but i havent done pilates in a long time so i expect that is why. im supposed to be doing a winsor pilates rotation this month for reason! lol. some of michelles pilates exercises in this section were different and interesting -- she compounded some of them to get more value out of them. the boot camp stuff was the standard stuff -- squats, lunges, bicep curls, jogging, pushups, lat row, tricep extensions and dips and some abs crunches. all of that was fine but she didnt do very many reps of each exercise (like only one set of 10). this is a good workout for a day when you cant decide what the heck you want to do! it was fun doing a bunch of different activities in one workout and the time went by very fast. one is presented with a menu where you can pick only one activity to do, or you can use the menu to program certain segments into a customized workout (maybe even program segments to play multiple times), or you can do all of the segments in the order they are on the disc. also, michelle is by herself in the workout -- no background exercisers. *carolyn.
