Hi Gail and all,

I check in on email once-in-a-while on here but am quiet mostly. I am doing okay these days. Have managed to stay out of the hospital now for almost 6 months (was going in almost every 3) and consider that a great thing. Almost afraid to say no zaps either but it's true.

Hope everyone is doing as well!

Hugz to all,

M in CA

i donty know for sure what your doctor is talking about but i think they mean they will ahve you totaly knocked out or under gernal anesthes and thiom sayign they'll ahev to breath for you meaning i beleave " a venitalter will be used while your under "to breathe for you !" now i would sugest you check with your doctors but thats the meaning anytime my doctors ahve used that phase it's scarey to ahve a cardiovderus or thim"shiokcing your heart " but hopefuly you will feel better after words are they planing to use your defirilator or paddles/patches? if they shock you externaly i would advise you to ask fror soem burn cream specaily if you sun burn easy it will help greatly with the soreness ! this is not sayign thats what your doctor will do and or measn the best suggestion is to ask thim or the clinic! stacie and sean service dog and heroScrapnfriend@... wrote: Hey Turk, Sure have missed you being around lately. Things must be going good for you. I had another appointment with my EP about the Coumadin levels and my A-Fib. He said in a month we will go ahead and do the shock to see if we can convert it back to normal. He got me worried because he said he would have to get together with the anesthesiologist to figure out how to do this. Something about them needing to breath for me during the

procedure. Anyone have any idea what this means? If not then when I go for a recheck he will have to explain it all to me. He said doing this with me will be tricky!! Re: Checking in.....

Hey Turk! All the best while looking for a job. I hate like heck this happened to you. and I have returned to NC where he is concentrating on his own job hunt. Got turned down for a job in ton SC, but it was a for-profit outfit and he wasn't that wild over it. Still waiting to hear from Bon Secours in Richmond where he interviewed a week or so ago. We parked the Pod at Lake Reidsville and we are surrounded by deciduous trees that have turned the most beautiful colours. To my seasoned starved self, it's heaven. And it is cool! Supposed to go down to 27f tomorrow night. Bliss!

Hi ;

Thanks and I missed you guys and gals too . I have been very busy trying to look for a new job. After quiting my job that i worked for 3 years because i got a new job, i got laid off after 8 days because a bigger company bought the one a had just started, They said sorry they had no idea and the company was downsizing, the gentleman that hired me and his boss also got laid off. So I am looking for a job now that is why i am not online very often. Anyway I am doing very well though, thanks for asking. After 4 years (I think) on my first ICD they did the same thing for me. They put me out and tried to shock me. After the procedure My icd specialist said he had very good news for me, they tried to shock my heart for 1.5 hrs and was only able to shock it twice and siad i seriously doubt if i get shock in real life because we ran your heart wild and it was still going vack to normal right away. So as you can imagine i was very happy about it. Good luck with the procedure. I hope yours goes as uneventful as mine was. Regards
