" hiya robin! i dont know about 'go for it' (actually i havent heard of that one) but i do have 'crazy for step' and i think that it is a really great step workout. it is advanced so it is a bit hard for me (i havent made it to the end yet...lol... i think that it is 70 min in total) but it is typical charlene and she is really amazing (10 inch step!), and so are her cohorts (one of the ladies is older than charlene and also looks awesome for her age). there are some reviews in this group's archive so you might want to do a search for them. i know that donna doesnt really like the white background in this one, but i did like it because it made it easy to see what the ladies were doing with their legs and feet. i also liked charlene's latin flavoured instrumental music. anyway, yes please do see the archives for more details. i just ordered 'with every step' yesterday so i cant comment on that one except to say that it contains two half hour workouts and it is at an intermediate level. charlene's website and collagevideo.com both have clips from these workouts that you can view. i hope that this helps! :*carolyn. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Hi Robin, I see Carolyn answered (Hi Carolyn!!!) but I definately second the recommendation for Crazy for Step. It is a good long and fairly intense workout. Charlene has gotten a bit more creative w/ her choreography, but it is still relatively easy to follow, especially since she cues well. I have Go For It and as I recall it is half hour of step and a half hour of strength. it is also a good workout. The strength is nice in that it focuses a lot on functional fitness and core strength. I think her daugher is in htat one with her. The only downside for me on these is the plain white background, I loved when she tapes outdoors, but I did notice that sometimes the camera angles on those went nuts. I did Low IMpact/High Intensity the other day and there is one shot wear they filme them diagonally...weird. That is gone w/ the plain white background. I'm going to order w/ Every Step before her sale ends on the 28th, so I'll let you know what I think of it when it gets here! That one is supposed to be two half hour (or so) step workouts. I like the option of having shorter stuff that I can add on to. HTH! Guest guest
Thanks for much for the information Carolyn! I will wait to order the " Crazy for Step " for now and just get a little better on my other tapes. I absolutely love chatty Charlene Prickett.....maybe because she is such a cheerful way to start the day and the way she keeps my mind busy while I work out. It is a good long and fairly intense Donna, I am just going to have to buy " Crazy for Step " somehow and sneak it in the mail (maybe hubby won't notice another box?)....sale or no sale (wink). It sounds like it's a good one and she is always so much fun. I also want to try Cathe Fredrich's " Basic Step " who I hear so many good things much about. Thanks again for the help. Cyberhugs, Robin PS. Which other tapes is Charlene's daughter in?

'crazy' is an advanced workout. 'basic step' is just that.... basic stepping for beginners. they are both low-impact but 'crazy' has alot more choreography. 'basic step' is 30 mins... 'crazy' is like an hour plus there is some stretching at the end. cathe's 'basic step' dvd does include some other workouts though -- there is 'body fusion' which is an intermediate circuit workout (the circuits are step and strength training during which cathe uses 3 pound dumbells and tubing). also on the dvd are three add-ons -- 20 min of upper body strength with dumbells and tubing, 20 min of lower body strength with mainly tubing and 10 mins of abs on the ball. just wanted to point out that they are quite different dvds from each other. both good even though ive outgrown the 'basic step' workout -- its not just that i find it to be easy, but i also find myself feeling kind of bored while doing it. ive had the dvd for some time though and have done the workout a number of times. the circuit workout is more my speed and the strength training segments can always be made harder with heavier weights, of course. just had to throw my 2 cents in....lol. :*carolyn. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Oh. I forgot about that - I think some others are exempt, too. Women w/ Balls? Hmm.
