I've stood in line behind the elderly lady that was told " That will

be $413 dollars please. I stood in line and watched the lady shake

her head, start to cry, and walk away to whatever fate awaited

her.

I've also seen the elderly couple intently reading cat and dog food

labels to see what the best would be for " THEM TO

EAT "

The United States may well still be the best country and government in

the world but it still sucks. As long as we elect thieves to office

and pay ceo's millions of dollars a year it will always be so...

I know, I know...to political.... but,, so what...

Seen that myself. Have had to tell my mother she can not go without her meds because of one thing or another. Went without my meds in Dec. Ended up in a hospital in Providence. Lost a hole month. Now have dr that gives me my meds. Wish we could do that with some of s meds. This country sends billions of dollars to other countrys, but what about the people in this country?

1st... Sir (RJS) I don't think I ever imposed any limitation on

political commentary. So comment away as you please! Remember the

guideline is that we like to see this stay within the interest

parameters of ICD recipients, families, and caregivers.. and THAT

certainly includes discussions on immorally inflated drug prices.

While neither a Republican nor a Democrat... I firmly believe Mr. Bush

has committed a criminal act of conspiracy with PharmCorps and any

federal lawmaker (regardless of political affiliation) who feisted

this obscene Rx drug plan on America. Since that abomination (which

makes it a CRIME to negotiate lower prices for you and me and our

loved ones)... drug prices have soard 11% faster than the Consumer

Price Index? Duh... wonder why?

We have all heard their argument.. (and I want to vomit every time

that drug company commercial runs making the claim) " We need to

charge more to fund the research to develope future life saving drugs. "

BULL S***!! You know who pays for that research? You and I do when

we pay our taxes! ALL of the important research (and I do NOT mean

the science that gave us the blue V-pill) comes from the National

Institutes of Health... NOT the labs at Phizer or Eli Lilly or etc. ad

finitum. And where does NIH get their funding? TAXES paid by U.S.

citizens.

My Congressman (FL9's Bilirakis) is one of the biggest crooks taking a

million bucks each election cycle from the pharmaceutical industry.

THAT's why I wasted my life savings running against him 4 years ago.

But this bugger is NOT alone. Chances are *your* federal reps in the

House and Senate are doing the _same_ thing.

Go to http://www.fec.gov/finance_reports.html and check out the

records of the people who are supposed to be YOUR voice in Washington.

Check to see how much the PharmCorps are subsidizing each... and if

your Congressman or Senator has taken more than $5K from such

sources.. trust me: His or her allegiance is NOT to the home town

folks.

If forced to choose between what's best for us or their financial

benefactor... guess who loses? Yea... that person you see in the

bathroom mirror. Guess who wins? Open the medicine cabinet door...

and there on the shelf behind the mirror... on each pill bottle you

will find the name of a drug company. THEY are all the winners.

Want one final piece of evidence? Go to your local newspaper

website.. and search their archive for " prescription drug " and " your

reps last name. " Here's <A

HREF= " http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/sptimes/405485051.html?MAC=8f4aa31b411ebd250a9\

at= & desc=Protecting+drug+company+profits+Series%3A+EDITORIALS " >ONE

story about my Congressman</a>. You can also go through the voting

records at http://www.house.gov or http://www.senate.gov.

It will help you find out whether each voted for the abominable

welfare program for lawmaker's biggest (drug company) contributors..

If you discover he or she violated your trust.. and if you were

cheated, you owe it to yourself and everyone you care about to spend

the next two months working to fire them!
