Guest guest
Somewhere I read that you can put small piece of raw cauliflower in the VM and then add the chicken stock and run it the usual 5 minutes. If the pieces are small enough they will cook. I use the frozen cauliflower florets that come in a bag since they are blanched. All I do is thaw them and put those in the VM along with my hot chicken stock. I do add a cooked potato to help make it creamy but I bet you could add those potato flakes. I use them for breading fish but not for potato. <g> I do like to add some shredded cheddar to the hot soup when it's in the bowl and sprinkling the top with blue cheese. Very tasty.  Terry Pogue  My Foodie Photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/terrypogue/collections/ On Nov 1, 2010, at 5:38 PM, Steve Spence wrote: > I put all the ingredients (potatoes and ham precooked) into the vitamix > and cream it. > > Steve Spence > Renewable energy and self sufficiency > http://www.green-trust.org > http://arduinotronics.blogspot.com/
Guest guest
I heat my stock (I use veggie stock) right in the VM, then drop in my cauliflower and just let it sit in the hot water without blending for a few minutes-that is enough to cook the cauli. (mine is blanched, then frozen) I add beans to thicken it, or just use a tiny amount of stock if I want it really creamy. Depends on what I am in the mood for at the time > I put all the ingredients (potatoes and ham precooked) into the vitamix > and cream it. > > Steve Spence > Renewable energy and self sufficiency > http://www.green-trust.org > http://arduinotronics.blogspot.com/
