Guest guest
Sprouting rocks-especially quinoa! (Sprouted red is amazing) Another good and cheap way to sprout is with a mason jar covered with the clean cut out toe of a pair of panty hose, secured with a rubber band-make it easy to rinse and drain! I also have a kitchen garden sprouter, which is wonderful-you pour water in the top tray, and it runs through all 5 trays, then drains to a bottom pan-super easy. Good luck! (be sure NOT to drink the rinse water-full of anaerobic waste-great for house plants though) > > Good luck! And may I recommend the Easy Sprout: http://www.sproutamo.com/ ? It's BRILLIANT. > > > > > > > sprouting > > ? I am sprouting for the very first time! Quinoa! I will let you know how it goes >
Guest guest
Okay, I forgot to drain the water before going to bed but did so this morning and I can see little tails! I did the mason jar with the clean panty hose trick that I read from (full of great tips) and next time I will use the water for house plants. I think I will make a trip to the health food store today and get some seed to spout. Maybe alfalfa. Can't wait to try! Thanks for all your ideas > Sprouting rocks-especially quinoa! Guest guest
Shoot, I don't have lucky socks! Am I missing something? Re: sprouting  Please do keep us informed on how the quinoa sprouts work out for you. I just checked out that Easy Sprouter and ordered 3 for myself. I make a lot of green smoothies and think the sprouts will be great in them... unless someone knows of a reason why that shouldn't be done??? If so, please do let us know
