Guest guest
Does anyone else have a child who constantly takes off their clothes?! Lately, Isaac (4 1/2) has been removing anything he can. He has always been annoyed with shoes/socks and removes them regularly, but it has turned into removing pants and also shirts. I know he's not hot because the weather has been very unseasonably mild for us, but I think it's a new " trick " or something he likes to do because he has learned how. What , if any suggestions can anyone offer? Thanks, Jill Mom to Isaac (4, DS), Lydia (10) and (18)
Guest guest
Sierra hates socks and shoes too. She kicks them off whenever she gets in the car. The school even asked I not send in a certain pair, because she always kicks them off on the bus ! Guest guest
Maverick HATES wearing clothes. His shoes and socks and shirt come off as soon as he enters the door. He will not wear any P.J's that touch his legs..... " they hurt me. " His baseball pants were " scratchy " until I cut the elastic off so they aren't touching his legs anywhere...He looks like a hillbilly! He wears boxers to bed and his tshirts all have to be a size too large NOT because of the style but because it is less to touch him. I always felt this was a tactile issue for him. Just like his not having his head touched.....OH MY DON'T COMB HIS HAIR! He is the king of nuggies cause kept giving him nuggies to get him used to having his scalp touched. Guest guest
Bridget used to do this. I started making her go to the bathroom or her bedroom until she put clothes back on. I told her she could only take off her clothes in these two rooms. Now when she has to go to the bathroom to pee and has waited too long, she has started pulling her pants and panties down and running for the bathroom with them around her ankles. I guess she figures she won't get them wet hits way even though it takes longer to run like this. mom to Bridget 10 Difficulty keeping clothes on Does anyone else have a child who constantly takes off their clothes?! Guest guest
Take heart! There comes a time when the nakedness does end. Danny was always a stripper. In the past few months, and coinciding with puberty, he has become a clothes horse--except for the shoes & socks. Every time he goes to the bathroom, he completly changes his clothes. That's only about three outfits plus pj's per day right now, because he is in school most of the day. But how am I going to keep up with the laundry when school is out???!!! Guest guest
The same with . She keeps her clothes on, but does change them several times a day. For awhile, she was great. We had worked it out so that she would come ask if she could change her clothes. Now, for some reason, we are back to her just changing them whenever she wants to. Oh well. Laundry, laundry, laundry. Guest guest
Kathy, you crack me up with the things you say. LOL ! That was too funny when you said your privacy fence wasn't doing its job. Maybe the boy was looking out of an upstairs window from his house at the pool wishing he was swimming in it? I love swimming. My kids love the pool also. I wished we were your neighbors so we could get invited to your pool parties. >From: b4alltoday@... > >Subject: Re: Difficulty keeping clothes on >Date: Thu, 5 Jun 2003 20:54:57 EDT > >In a message dated 6/5/2003 5:50:39 PM Central Standard Time, >jls1995@... >writes: > > > > I can relate to this..... Guest guest
SOunds like BJ- this is why he gets a #3 haircut- forget washing, brushing , cutting hair, finger nails or toenails. He hates and fights all these things- and we have to cut his nails on average every 2 weeks > > He can't handle having his head touched.
