Thanks for the info. I have seriously given thought to not having mine replaced when it's battery dies out because all of my shocks have been for things that are not life saving or necessary. I would be willing however if this comes to pass.

I noticed that this article mentioned that more than 80% of people

with ICD's have already had heart attacks - any idea if the same sort

of idea could be used for people with things like ARVD? Speaking as

someone who had 30 shocks in a day about a year ago, I would be

thrilled to never have to go through that again.

dont know what kind of ICD you have but with

mine ( St. Judes) the doctor can readjust the

settings, maybe talk to your docotr about it. good
