Guest guest
Don't worry Bridget, look at the bright side, if they do make a mistake, You will never know........ At least that's the way I see it. I read somewhere that way back when I had my first triple bypass only 20% made it. As luck would have it the surgery was cancelled at the last second as my Doc had gotten sick. When they were winding up on the next person the tech hit the WRONG button, and the machine instead of replaceing the blood the CLEANING FLUID WAS PUMPED IN. I read this in the newspaper a few days later. (AFTER my surgery, of course) -- Jitters I'm starting to get pre-surgery jitters. Guest guest
I felt like that each of the 4 times I treated , and what helped me was eating a piece of bread and trying to drink something high is sugar . On treatment one of the complaints I hear most (except nausea) is an inability to sleep . Ask your doc for Ambien or Restoril ( cheaper) and it will help you out so much . Jitters I hope the weekend is pass with as much cheer as possible for everyone. Just wondered whether anyone has any word on having the jitters! I've noticed that I seem to be having some bouts of jitters - almost like having had a few too many cups of coffee at different times of the day - it passes after awhile. Kind of hits me at bedtime, too - I'm soooo tired, but when I lay down it takes quite a bit more effort to get the sleep happening. Is this the treatment? Like experiences? Thanks...love & light, karen
Guest guest
Checkers ~ I've done 15 weeks of treatment, and I've been getting the jitters, too. Out of the blue, my hands start to shake. Like you, I also get the shakes when I've tired. > > I hope the weekend is pass with as much cheer as possible for everyone. Guest guest
I had that , That is one of the reasons I recommend soothing music to go to sleep by. I never had to use any medication for sleep because I would lull myself to sleep with soothing music. I bought those cheapie meditation CD at Target, Wal-mart and such places as that. Put them in my CD player in my room, turned it down low and with my bedtime snack I would drift off to sleep. You might try that. Guest guest
Thanks for all the good ideas on this! I love the calming music at bedtime! And I hadn't thought about blood sugar being low - I like peanut butter on crackers (and it still sounds appealing) so that's a good one. I do have a question about white blood count. I know that I have read that it is normal to drop - but at what point is it considered necessary to add another medication or decrease treatment doses? I also wondered if it doesn't drop normally if you have a sick kid in your house and you are also fighting their infection? My son has been sick for a week and I have felt like I catching it - but seem to be fighting it off okay. My last week's wbc (week one) was low at 3.9. I had blood drawn again today and am waiting to hear from the office. Just kind of trying to get educated before the fact. big hugs to all! karen I hope the weekend is pass with as much cheer as possible for everyone. Guest guest
, I don't know if my diet had anything to do with the fact that my wbc were okay during treatment or the fact that, I just have good hard working wbc. LOL But I know that when on treatment, I tried to eat lots of healthy green vegetables. My daughter while pregnant craved collard greens. LOL so while on treatment guess what I wanted? Of course collard greens. And I think that eating that protein can not hurt. Now I tell you this, I did avoid sick folks while on treatment. Even when my youngest daughter got a cold, Mommie was off limit for kisses. But kept the lysol wipes handy for wiping down phones and any shared areas. The bleach wipes are good too. We kept them in the bathroom, still do! Kitchen, and by the phones. Just a add precaution. I didn't want to get the flu or a cold while on treatment. I know with kids it is tough. I am glad I just have the one child now. My foster children are back with their dad. And if I start a new treatment in April I will not foster any children during treatment. Just be satisfied with the one child I have. LOL Love JanetCheckers2001 <simplicity53@...> wrote: Thanks for all the good ideas on this! I love the calming music at bedtime! Guest guest
My WBC went down to 1.7 and they prescribed neupogen 3 times a week, which I took for two weeks and on my last lab my count was back to normal.Denisa Dodd <denisa_dodd@...> wrote: , I have been experiencing the "jitters" thing as well my blood sugar is fine (I am diabetic) I was wondering if maybe it was the rebotol. dCheckers2001 <simplicity53gmail> wrote: Thanks for all the good ideas on this! Guest guest
Thanks, Janet. My 17 year old doesn't seem to be able to wrap his soon to be 18 year old brain around the idea of being careful with his sick germs lol. A little self-absorbed at this time in his life ;^). Guest guest
Thanks for the info, Kerri. It helps to get a base line of when the docs are going to start getting concerned. I just went back and reread the notes from when you discovered your count WBC was low - really helps to have other's experiences. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what today's labs come back at - the office should check in with me tomorrow. Don't you hate the waiting?!! karen I hope the weekend is pass with as much > cheer as possible for everyone. Just wondered > > whether anyone has any word on having the jitters! Guest guest
I can't remember at what level my doc gave me neupo,, but I think it was somewhere around 2.8,, something like that.. Let me know if the peanut butter and crackers helps with the jitters.. Checkers2001 <simplicity53@...> wrote: Thanks for all the good ideas on this! I love the calming music at bedtime! Guest guest
Yep. Waiting is the worst!! Guest guest
I'm in week 8. Sixeen more to go. Luckily I was type 3. I'm worried I'm not clearing, though, because I still have the cryoglobulinemia symptoms. Supposedly once the HCV is gone, the cryo will be gone. The cryo is not gone yet, so I am worried... I did have a "high" load of 12 M. Maybe that's why it could be taking longer?Checkers2001 <simplicity53@...> wrote: What week are you in, Kerri? Guest guest
Oh God. Don't tell me that!! Hopefully the VL is at least Dropping. My bi-weekly labs indicate my liver enzymes are down. But, I don't do my VL check until next month. I know that is the test that will tell the true story as to what's going on. Until I do that test, and get the results, I guess I will just hope and pray for the best. Guest guest
It really is hard not to worry, isn't it. There's a quote I saw in a little Amish store near where I was staying this past summer that I really loved - something about worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but doesn't get you anywhere. I try to remind myself of that when the worry is setting in. Sorry that cryo symptoms are still bothering you. My guess is you have a really good chance of clearing with a type 3! I'm going to keep thinking those positive thoughts for you! hugs, karen , > > > I have been experiencing the " jitters " thing as well my blood sugar is fine (I am > > diabetic) I was wondering if maybe it was the rebotol. > > > d > > > > > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
Oh Kerri,, since your enzymes ARE dropping, I'd bet dollars to diamonds that your viral load is dropping too! Part of the goal of tx IS to get your alt/ast into the normal range too so I would bet that you ARE responding to tx! Please do not worry as THAT kind of stress is bad for your liver as well! Just trust that the treatment IS working and when you have your PCR, you WILL have evidence of that,,, on paper!!! Merry Christmas hon! jaxKerri Landress <kerrilandress@...> wrote: Oh God.
