Guest guest
since someone did ask about i would like to go through the top 10 workouts. i got this collection for under $20 at best buy. but if you search online try fitnessheaven.com 's 10 Best Workouts the first workout is called kickbutt. its a low impact but high intensity kickboxing workout. there are two 45 min segments. the first one is about 20 mins. cardio then two 10mins toning segments one for abs on for arms. the second workout is a longer 35-40 mins. of cardio punches and kicks and a quick 5 min workout for the buns. i dont care much for the first one b/c i do like to have a longer cardio session to really " blast the fat " so to speak. the second workout is yogacize with former supermodel jerry hall. its 70 mins long or can be broken down in five modoules. i really like this b/c there is a section for strecthing, using classical poses, and an energizing segment(really good to get going on a slow morning) the third is called body focus with three 30 min segments. one cardio, one weight workout, and a legs/abs workout. i dont care much for the cardio b/c it does not get my heart rate up to much but the weight workout is challenging even with light weights and i use the legs/abs workout for a quick toning workout when i am pressed for time.i would say this better for the beginner then the intermediate/advanced student. the forth is called jazzthetics with traci lords. i dont care much b/c it's just like fidgeting on the ground. its not areobics but its not toning i just think its plain weird personally. tai-fit is the fifth workout. like tae-bo,it has 3 segments a quick toning segment, an instructional workout on how to properly kick and punch, then the intense cardio. this workout is only 30mins. but really gets my heart rate up there with the challenging kicks and punch/kick/block combos without any jumping the really does a number on my knees. the sixth workout is rotation and motiviation. again 3 segments roughly 30mins each. the cardio is not bad for an easy day b/c its low impact but it keeps my heart rate up. the toning is so-so i really dont feel like i got a workout on my legs or arms with this one. the third segment is the abs. its about 26 mins. of intense ab work that usually keeps me sore. the 7th workout is back in action. about 40mins or broken into 2 20mins segments. this is more a light toning segment to help keep your back aligned and strenghten the muscles(like hamstrings, and lower abs)that help support all areas of the back. i like to use this with one of my pilates tapes as a little extra work to help my back. the 8th workout called lite aerbics(with shirley jones) is 40mins.with 20mins of low impact aerobics. this is good b/c it splits one side of beginners with no jumping and advacned with litle jumping and jogging so you can watch one side of the screen or the other to keep. after aerobic you get a quick 20mins of toning. not much for my tastes but you can always skip to strecthing and use your own method/video for toning. the 9th workout is one step beyonds. this is a favorite of mine. its 40-45mins of high intensity but low impact easy to follow step moves.the instructor Diane Springfield is really good at cueing and giving advice all through the video.good for beginners and pretty good for advanced as a lighter workout. the 10th workout is fat burners. this is 3 different segments about 30 mins each. all are low impact. one called baby boomers which is a real light workout, another is funky workout using funky dance moves, the other is called hot bods which combines aerobics and toning using your own body weight. for max benefits i combine two segments b/c one does not ever seem enough for me. i would say myself that this is good for beginners/intermediate exercisers.i mostly use tai-fit,yogacize,and back in action. the other segments i use one in awhile just to mix things up. but i did spend under $20 for 10 workouts so it was worth it even if i only used 3 workouts. sorry this turned out to be so long.but i hope you have found this to be helpful. kassia
