Guest guest
Doubt that you would have any prob with heights unless you go high enough that the o2 is thinner. but it depends on your condition which is different for almost everyone, I would check with your doc but The I imagine the icd itself wouldn't be affected. Guest guest
My experience with altitude: Altitude does affect my heart and breathing -- But my Doc says just that - it is only symptomatic - it will affect me and limit my movement and breathing. but it will not hurt me. (I am talking 6-8,000 feet). No affect on the ICD. Good luck - lay low and have fun! Guest guest
, My wife and I went last August to the Rocky Mountains. I wasn't going to do Pikes Peak at 14,110 foot to the summit, but I couldn't resist it. I did very well. My doc might have said no so I didn't ask him......Dumb. I figured if my ICD is good to 60 feet under water, it should be able to take Pikes Peak. No problems. The air was very thin and I felt very tired from just walking, but I was breathing fairly well. However, the paramedics were called for one fellow who passed out. I was a little queasy but that was it. I really think you should ask your doctor though. It all depends on your body. Don't pull an . Have fun if you go. > going to visit several parks, has anyone had any trouble with the > heights?
Guest guest
-- that may depend on what heights you're talking about. I live in Utah at 5500 feet; to a coastal person that may seem high! Maybe if you can tell us where you're going, we could be a little more specific:) Jana
