Colleen,I used to do it all the time but I did it in big batches like a dozen eggs. Try it with 2 or 3 eggs. We really liked the texture of the eggs done that way but some people might not. Even with the sides and blade greased it was still a pain to clean.Kim in ORFrom: ColleenS <cojoke@...>Subject: SCRAMBLED EGGS IN VITAMIX Date: Saturday, August 14, 2010, 8:47 PM

Hi I am new to the group. I have had my 5000 for several years and only recently got into making healthy smoothies and using it more in general. Now I love it!!!. I saw a video that showed you can make a scrambled eggs in 5 minutes. I tried by putting 1 egg and a little milk. After 15 minutes it still was liquid. I greased the sides of the cup as suggested to. Does any one have a clue what is wrong? Thanks, Colleen LI, NY

I have to admit, this is a new one on me! Has anyone else heard of this? It wouldn't occur to me to make scrambled eggs this way because I prefer to put them whole into the pan, let them cook a bit, then add the milk and gently scramble them as they cook (I think it makes for a more interesting result). This really is intriguing, though.

New one on me too! I also break my eggs into the pan, then scramble as they start to cook-I like the contrast of the white and yolk mixed up a bit-like a cross between scrambled and fried. I also like to cook eggs in a mason jar in my solar oven, but I would never have thought to do them in the VM!From: <kareningotham@...>Subject: Re: SCRAMBLED EGGS IN VITAMIX Date: Saturday, August 14, 2010, 9:55 PM

Yeah, that makes for interesting scrambled eggs--I use lots of butter and a splash of milk and fry them "soft." Omelets, however, merit the classic "well-scrambled" treatment. :)

I like my omelets solar! Just break some eggs into a mason jar, throw in your peppers, squash, or other goodies, some cheese, splash of cream, put the lid on and shake it and throw it in the solar. Lovely, VERY puffy souffle like omelet by the time I finish my shower! Gotta love that. Free energy, no effort!
