Guest guest
Yes I like it and I don't do very many step videos. The choreography is not too complex. If its the one I am thinking of (I have all of them) it uses some intense plyo a > i have acquired STEP REEBOK: THE VIDEO and will do it tomorrow -- will let > you know what i think about it. have any of you done this one? gin > miller, 1993, 58 mins. > -carolyn. If its the one I am thinking of (I have all of >them) it uses some intense plyo hi paula - well, i think that you are thinking of the 2nd step video that gin did for reebok. this one doesnt have any plyometrics in it at all. this is a great workout for beginners. the choreography is very simple and is low-impact. the music has a strong steady beat so it is easy to keep track of the steps. gin is great at cueing, as always. the steps were so simple, repetitive and gin cued them so well that i didnt have to look at the tv that much -- and this was my first time doing the workout...LOL. noone in the class smiles though -- it is all very serious. the good thing about that is that there is no 'wheew'/'whooo' -ing from the class. no sound at all except for gin's voice and the music. oh and everyone is very buff and they are all decked out in their reebok gear. the set is interesting... it has that industrial look and while gin is in the class and giving hand signals for cues, her head appears on tv screens and that is where the verbal cues come from. sounds weird, but i thought that it was neat -- and might be a good idea for instructors who are cueing intense workouts. i cant imagine that gin got so out of breath doing this routine that she had to have a separate voice-over though...lol. there is a lengthy warmup and then the step class starts -- at about the 40 min mark, gin does 10 mins of push-ups, tricep dips and sit ups... all using the step bench. at the end of the tape gin comes on for 8 mins to give a tutorial on how to step and how to do the steps that she does in the workout (and there arent many!) again, this is good for an absolute beginner to exercise and will do ok for a while for someone who is only new to aerobic stepping. i will hang onto it for a little while -- might do it a couple of more times on days that im tired or looking for an easy workout for some reason. -carolyn. Guest guest
Thanks for the review, Carolyn! I'm glad you're working out again! :> I have this one and do it every once in awhile. I like Gin and I also have the Power Workout which has the Plyos - that one is very intense! Betty & a - if you're out there, I'm previewing a belly dance video as I type -- it is the " Belly Twins " (Veen & Neena) hips & thighs workout. I think I actually might be able to do this (so long as no one is watching me...LOL! I don't think I would look quite like the Belly Girls at 4:30 a.m.!!) I hope to try it this week sometime, it is due back at the library next Friday so I'll have to find a way to fit it in unless I can renew it. Take care, Donna > > _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! Guest guest
I don't think there is that much dancing in that one Donna. Their toning videos are kind of weird. I lost that one when I lent it out to a near starnger who I never saw again. Live and learn. Ya'll are right. I looked at my Gin videos today and Power is the plyo one. I hate step lol. So I barely do any step videos. Might do one this week though since we've been talking about it. a > Thanks for the review, Carolyn!
