Guest guest
I heard Boutenko say for people that don't like greens, you can start out with more greens than fruit and gradually build up to mostly " green " vs. fruit smoothies. She says after you get used to having greens, your body will start to crave them. For a year I've put fresh spinach leaves on my now 4 year old's picky eater plate with a green spinach smoothie to the side. He started eating one or 2 raw spinach leaves last week, and last night he ate several leaves at dinner and said " I'd like some more spinach leaves please! " . Of course we gladly gave him seconds. Now we'll start the trick with Kale, as he eats Kale in some smoothies, but doesn't eat it raw yet....will let you how he does, but it might take a few months. Guest guest
I can vouch for this. It took me 9 months to get to like parsely in a Green Smoothie. At the 6 month mark I could only handle a few sprigs, now I can do a whole bunch.
