RE: Todays green smoothie and using our Vitamix

This morning I knew I

wanted to have mustard greens. I used probably the top third of a leaf

and 2-3” of the stem.

I had 2 chunks of

papaya, about 6 blueberries, 2 large strawberries, about 1/3 of a banana. I

added 3 prunes, 1 medjool date, 2 heaping tsps of plain yogurt and about 8 tsp

of coconut milk and probably about 1 c water. It was delicious and I didn’t

know the mustard greens were there.

On another note, LeeAnn, I’m glad you are encouraging us to try

new things in our blender. With what I have in the house right now I can

either try a nut butter or shredded cabbage. Somehow I think I’ll

lose nutrients in the water.

I’ve never been

brave enough to try this, I always use my food processor. I hope you give

us a few days to do this! J

Have you tried broccoli yet? It will have the

predominant (and strong) flavor in your green smoothie.

I think the pepper stood out the most. Next time (and there will be a next

time) I will blend the pepper a bit first to make sure the seeds get blended

better. I think I'll try broccoli that counts as a green right?

I am really enjoying my green smoothies now and the scale is inching it's way

down.
