Guest guest
Hi All, Well, it's been a cool few days here! First, I started (daytime) potty training (again), and since Thursday, we have only had ONE accident!!!! I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED! I know that she was more ready this time, but for , attitude is everything, and I apparently picked the right day and time :-) Plus, my attitude was different this time..... I got the plastic pants (to keep the carpets/couch dry) to wear over panties, found old panties that were 's and made a big deal out of that ( " Oh, these are 's panties and she gave them to you!!! " ), and decided to throw out any poopy panties...... still chepaer than pullups! I was more ready for the long haul than before. She loved having 's panties (last times we went and bought new ones for her.... not nearly the importance of big sister's apparently!). She still has not initiated on her own, but for the most part has gone when I reminded her. In the past, I used different rewards, and the focus became more on getting a marshmallow or chocolate chip then the potty part. So, this time I just went overboard on hugs, praise, etc. and that seemed to do it...... go figure. I think we are on our way!!!!!!!!!! The other thing is..... first loose tooth! I don't exactly know what happened, but she has been telling us for about a month that " I have loose tooth, just like Arthur " . I've checked, but not found anything. Today, I was at the computer and she was watching a video, and she came in and said " my tooth bump loose " . I could see that her bottom front tooth was wiggled a little out of position, and spent a half an hour trying to figure out how she could have bumped it on something while watching TV. No blood, no brusing, no chairs overturned, nothing strange. So, was have decided that since she is 5, perhaps it is just getting loose. She loves to wiggle it (it drives my nuts, and she loves that!), and I think tomorrow will be the day. I hope she doesn't swallow it tonight! , mom to (7), (5 DS), and (3)
