Guest guest
The suggestions were Alkanet, madder root, st johns wort and Lady's bedstraw. To be honest with you I don't know which one it would be. The reason I wanted to inquire was because in a conversation a friend told me that her grandmother (who lived in Asia Minor, Middle East) used to prepare a salve for burns and skin irritations. She mentioned that one of the ingredients was a root that the grandmother used to dig up from the fields, and it would turn the infusion pinkish red. My friend doesn't remember the name of the root. Even if she did, I think we would have difficulty finding its English name. Maybe even due to geography that root doesn't exist in this part of the world. Just thought I might give it a shot and maybe something would turn out.
