Probably most important,

Everything!!!...must be cold...

The container... in the freezer for awhile...

The ingredients...frozen...

It's like whipping cream...cold is best...

Have you gone through the users' guide and watched the DVD? It's really best to familiarize yourself with those thoroughly before actually diving in too much because it's a very powerful appliance that can perform a lot of tasks depending on the speed used. There's a learning curve--not too steep, mind you--but it's there. It's quickly mastered by following the manufacturer's instructions to the letter; once you get comfortable and use it successfully a few times, the sky's the limit.

You could possibly be overblending and/or using too low a ratio of frozen goods. A good ratio is 25% liquids/soft food to 75% "frozens."

Yes I did watch the DVD of the items I wanted to make. On some of the recipes

the measurements were not given so I wasn't sure how much to include. I have

mainly followed recipes that I have found because I didn't know what to do. But

I will watch the DVD again though
