Guest guest
I'm intrigued! What are the upper body exercises without weights? Pushups? Curious! > today (sunday) i did FIRM IT UP with debbie siebers. this workout is part > of a set called THE SLIM SERIES from beachbody.com and is a great lower body > blaster. no weights are used, however, if you want you can carry light > dumbells or wear ankle weights. otherwise all resistance is body weight > only. 60 minutes long. NO LUNGES! lots of squats. floor work. > *~*~*~*~* > Carolyn > --- > > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.686 / Virus Database: 447 - Release Date: 5/14/2004

What are the upper body exercises without weights? > Pushups? hiya pink! sorry, there are no upper body exercises in this workout... it is a lower body blaster (i think that i said that, but ive forgotten! sorry for being confusing, i was in a hurry when i posted). yes, pushups are certainly an example of using body weight to work the upper body. otherwise you are looking at punches and moves that take a lot of visualization...lol. for example, i did taebo advanced live volume 2 this morning (i have two copies and i sent one to susan today -- you are gonna love it susan!! please let me know when it gets to your place) and billy does some upper body work at the end... first he does pushups then he does bicep curls and another move where one lifts their arms up in the air (kinda hard to describe) and these are all done with body weight only. if one can keep the muscles of the upper body contracted while they do these moves, and really visualize moving them through something thick (some instructors say to imagine water... kathy smith says to visualize moving through peanut butter...lol) then they can be quite effective. -carolyn. --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Duh, of course Cola, you did say lower body, but for some reason my third eye read " upper body " . Yikes! I'm only 36 and this is happening ALREADY. I won Tae Bo Live 2 I believe, on ebay. I have some of the other live ones too and can't wait to try them but by tomorrow I will have taught Turbo Kick 4 days in a row and really need to lay off the kickboxing for awhile and then a friend is visiting from overseas so I will have to exercise vicariously through you guys!
