Guest guest
Hello Steve, Have you tried Variable 10? If that doesn't work I'd pulse it (using the on/off button while the other switch is set to high) and see if you can flip it on and off and keep testing it to see when it gets to the consistency you want). If you try these things, please let me know if they work for you! When I drank the drink there was almost a "crunch" in my mouth from the ice if I chewed it. I have tried to replicate this with my VitaMix with poor results. If I blend on high it pulverizes it so much that there is no texture to the ice left, if I blend on Variable 4-5 until I hear it blended smooth the texture of the ice is not very uniform and definitely not a lot of "crunch" with every sip.Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? I thought I had read that the texture of drinks had more to do with speed, is that correct?-Steve

My daughter likes the crunch of bigger chips of ice in her frappes, so I chop the ice first, put the ice in a glass, then blend the rest of the ingredients in the VM and pour it over the chips. I personally do not like the chips, so I just blend it all together.
