I am a very big fan of Inulin.

I know this will rankle some feathers, but I am not a big fan of Agave (you can Google Agave Dangers) and get an earful of opinions.

Whenever something is "controversial" such as soy or agave I take the "moderation in all things" approach.

Personally, agave simply tastes too good to be true - you know, if it tastes good it can't be good for you ;-) But beyond that, I personally try to avoid anything that is processed and Agave is pretty processed.

Stevia and Dates are what work for me (and I've lost my sweet tooth to the point that I am almost date-free). Stevia is certainly processed too, but it is alleged to have the property of lowering high blood sugar and raising low blood sugar. It is also an herb and not a chemical imitation or synthetic of sugar.

But that is JUST me. The longer I'm in the health community, the more I respect that what works for one person does not necessarily work for another. If your energy is good, your blood sugar levels are good, your weight is good, etc. I say go for it! (just don't drink it 8 oz at a time ;-)

Oh, and as far as Agave goes - that description sounds wonderful! Again, I am a huge fan of Inulin.

Blue Agave Inulin

While wandering through my Whole Foods store I came across Organic Blue Agave Inulin by Viv Agave. It's vanilla flavored, prebiotic, postbiotic, low glycemic and very high fiber. Seems too good to be true. Does anyone have any experience with this product? It's tasty and dissolves in liquids.

I only know that it's expensive and that I'm tempted to try it although

for specifically what, I don't know. :)
