Hi Bridget. We have the wireless DSL router and Nic card. My hubby hasn't had any problems with them being in the house. He is not a big computer person, but our's is always on, and he is near them alot.

Have been wireless for several months now. There is no noticeable effect on

ICD. Last interrogation did not indicate anything amiss. Wireless is the way

to go - it is so neat when you do not have wires and cables to contend with.

Using it right now.... No problem.

Think cell phone. You're in the same power range -- maybe a bit less. Not to worry.

On the practical side, some cordless phones (2.4 GHz--Spread Spectrum) interfere with the wireless computer networks. Sometimes I lose my internet until my wife hangs up from a call if she's using our panasonic 'giga-range' cordless nearby.

Best to the whole group

Seems to be no problem with the respondees using wireless devices

but we have been cautioned to beware of the antennae for toy radio

remote controls such as those for cars.

It might be an idea to get professional advice, especially if you

want to use a high powered wireless unit. There is a tendency to

clutter a computer workstation some people pile all the peripherals

about the PC which might place the antenna too close to your ICD.

I have a question in to Guidant already, but haven't gotten a

response yet. I am also fortunate enough to live with an engineer

and have hos brother the computer tech available. Knowing the power

levels involved, they think it's okay, but want to make sure.

And as for those remote controlled toys, many of them are okay for us

to be around. You just have to check the power levels. Now, the

airplanes are a trickier hobby. Those remotes are much higher

powered.
