Guest guest
Hi a! For now, TK is only available at the gym, but Chalene , it's creator (and friend of mine) is working on makng consumer video versions. I will FOR SURE let everyone know when this happens! That's why I haven't been doing as many home workouts lately, sorry for the flatline! My foot's a tad better so I've been doing more TK and my friend is giving me rides to her Rep (weight training) classes. I hope to fit in something soon though, I'm dying to try my new Cole tapes *heart flutters*. a, that's FANTASTIC about the job bites! I will keep you in my thoughts! You so deserve this!! Guest guest
I'm very curious to see what TK is like! Even if I can't afford the gym membership when I get to Austin I might buy one or two classes just for the experience, but then again I might get hooked and sign up once again for a gym membership I can't afford lol. Even though I havn't been working out at a high intensity I have been eating very little and my weight is starting to drop a bit! 2-3 lbs in the last two weeks. It may not seem like much but that scale has been stuck for close to 6 months. I'm at 155 now, I want to make it to 135 by next year. There is an upside to being poor. I can't afford to eat out :-) Today's workout is Steele (ugh) with hopefully at least one segment each of Quick Fix total body toning and Quick Fix abs. a
Guest guest
a, The 24 Hr. Fitness clubs have TK here in Austin. I go to the one at Hancock Center. TK is there Tue @6:00pm, Wed @ 6:30, Thu @ 6:00pm, Sat @ 10:00am, and Mon @ 6:00AM (Yawn!). There is also a club up on Research (RT 183) just past Great Hills Trail. You'll have to look the schedule up on the web for that one. I injured my knee (Again!) and haven't been able to go, but the instructors, Lindsey and Jocelyn are great. You'll have fun if you go. I've been missing it terribly. Re: Turbo Kick I'm very curious to see what TK is like! Guest guest
Thanks ! You wouldn't happen to know if there are any apartment complexes right by either of those gyms and their names would you?? It would be wonderful if I could find a complex within walking distance of a gym like I have here. I'm sorry to hear about your knee. Have you tried Glucosamine/Chondroiten? Its suppose to help rebuild cartlidge. Hope you feel better soon! a > a, > > The 24 Hr. Fitness clubs have TK here in Austin. I go to the > one at Hancock Center. Guest guest
Yes, TK is offered at just about every 24H, if not all of them. Where do you live? -- In , " wintersongs " <wintersongs@m...> wrote: > > Thanks for the link. > > Turbo Kick sounds like a lot of fun and I may want to try it, but when I click on " Where can I find a class, " it takes me to the certifications events calendar. Maybe one day I want to be certified, but I think I should try it first! So is there a list of clubs/gyms anywhere that offers a Turbo Kick class? > > Do you know if Turbo Kick is offered at all 24 Fitnesses? > > Thanks, > > > > From: Pink [mailto: pinkpussycat@p...] > > Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 23:02:17 -0000 > Subject: Re: Attempted " Cathe " rotation for next week > > TK stands for Turbo Kick; I teach it at 24 Hour Fitness. Guest guest
There are 24 Hour Fitnesses all over the place in SF! Download a free pass from their website and take lots of TK classes! Their SET class is great too! You'll have to let me know how you like it! -- In , " wintersongs " <wintersongs@m...> wrote: > > I live in the San Francisco area. - > > > > From: Pink [mailto: pinkpussycat@p...] > > > > Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 23:02:17 -0000 > > Subject: Re: Attempted " Cathe " rotation for next week > > > > TK stands for Turbo Kick; I teach it at 24 Hour Fitness. Guest guest
Thanks for the info., ! By the way, since you work at 24 Hour Fitness, do you know anything about the free Group X Instructor Search informational meeting? Link: http://www.24hourfitness.com/html/groupx/instruct/search/ I'm toying with the idea of becoming a group fitness instructor but I'm in the very beginning stage. I've done some research on how to become one, but I have no degree in the field, no certifications, haven't even taken a group class before. But I'm interested because I love doing aerobics and kickboxing to videos on TV (which is probably very different from actually taking a class, I know) and I'm exploring possible career options based on my interests (in this case, exercising). Anyway, about the Instructor Search, would someone like me who's completely new be able to attend? This would be a great opportunity to find out more. But I wouldn't want to attend and be completely lost since I have no experience or anything. By the way, I looked at the class schedule for Turbo Kick at my local 24 Hour Fitness. I just may print that coupon out but the time is really tight; I may not get back home in time for the class. Thanks in advance for any help! - > > From: Pink [mailto: pinkpussycat@p...] > > > > Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 23:02:17 -0000 > > Subject: Re: Attempted " Cathe " rotation for next week > > > > TK stands for Turbo Kick; I teach it at 24 Hour Fitness.
