Guest guest
Joyce, I don’t have a link. This was in an email, from Clever Homemakers Group, just like your email from the vitamix group asking for the link. She gave her personal story of green smoothies causing her kidney stones and she did not say how she heard the other story. I left her name on it so you could see it was a real person sharing her story. Guest guest
The Nikken pi mag unit has been researched and proven to not work as advertised unless it is using "sterile" water to begin with. It was tested in response to using it after natural disasters as a way to purify water compromised by disasaters, and was proven to be unsafe. (keep in mind there are as many "studies" that say it is safe as opposed to those who say it is fraud, so your own discretion applies here=I personally would not use it, since it is shown to not remove chemicals in the water you start with) "Enhanced" water is water that has had minerals added to it-many times those "minerals" are nothing more than sanitizing chemicals, and they are often derived from sources that are questionable and allergenic-a BIG problem for those of us with chronic allergies. Its sad that there is so much hype and misinformation about water, but even sadder is that good quality water is really hard to come by. The bottled/filtered water industry is a huge scam. Often, the plastics water come packaged in cause toxins to be released into the water. Again, a big problem for anyone with an allergy to corn, since corn is often used in the packaging. Water has been my nightmare product for more years than I can count-contributing to many of my health ailments. Thankfully, I finally figured it out and have improved dramatically, but I certainly learned the hard way that water is a big issue. From: hatchjoyce <Joyce_Handy@...>Subject: Re: Green Smoothie Warning Date: Saturday, July 17, 2010, 10:41 AM Hi Margie, We use Nikken Pi Mag water which has minerals in it; no chemical purification involved--what are you referring to when you say "enhanced" water? thanks, Joyce > > > > Thanks, Margie, > > > > I don't consume sugar or soda, but do use salt. "Enhanced" water is equally as bad. Just a heads up from someone who was getting as sick from my "pure" water as I was from other things. I now drink spring water only. And I recommend sea salt to avoid the anti caking stuff in regular salt. Again, only posting because I found these two things to be totally interfering with my efforts to good health. > > >

Guest guest
, I’m no specialist, I just passed on the info. When I have fruit smoothies I usually put in a handful or a variety of 3 or 4 greens. I know people in the raw food community that eat 3#s of greens a day. I’ve never heard anyone with this complaint before, but I have been pre-warned to change greens daily. It might be good, as you’ve done to have just a plain fruit smoothie or veggie smoothie more often than not. Just a thought. Guest guest
I think a lot of states allow on-site purchase of raw milk and "young" (i.e., <60 days old) dairy products direct from the dairy; I know New York does, plus we in NYC can order it delivered through a co-op. Given that the (idiotic) requirement that raw-milk cheese be aged at least 60 days in order to be sold was issued by the USDA, such cheeses can legally be sold in any state. Re: Green Smoothie Warning Hi , How and where do you get your spring water? thanks, Joyce Also, does anyone have a list of states where it is legal to buy raw dairy products (unpasturized?) It was illegal in NJ where we just moved from, but I'm not sure about VA where we live now! thanks! > > The Nikken pi mag unit has been researched and proven to not work

I wish I could recommend a source for you, but really don't have a clue what I would do if this darling man didn't do this for me! I have reacted to just about all other water I have tried. It was actually his idea to start bringing me water-I call him my personal Culligan man!As for raw milk, MOST places have food co ops where you can get raw milk as a member, or cow share programs; We had neither where I live, so I bought some cows and pay a farmer to take care of them for me-WELL worth the investment! I avoided dairy most of my life due to EXTREME allergy to milk, but I thrive on the raw stuff. Guest guest
Just an FYI, most cats are lactose intolerant. causes stomach upset and diarrhea. Milk isn't part of their normal diet, and doesn't help them in any way. goats milk may lessen the symptoms. Guest guest
I can name you four that aren't. A pity because one of them has to deal with megacolon and the vet and I hoped that a blast of skim milk (higher lactose volume than whole) would help. It didn't. I think that what the Kentucky authorities don't know about feline lactose intolerance won't hurt them. Guest guest
My raw milk tastes lovely! It is rich and thick, and I am able to skim the rich cream off the top, and make butter, cheese, sour cream, kefir, and other goodies from it. It tastes like regular milk, only richer-there should be no off taste at all. I am COMPLETELY allergic to commercial milk, but do great with raw.Yep, my ex is indeed a gem. We have been apart for over 11 years, but are best friends and still go on vacations together, and hang out all the time-we just live in separate houses, lol. He is a great guy-I just don't like being married, lol. Thank God for him though! He teases that he has the only ex wife willing to iron his shirts for his dates, lol.> > > Hi Stacey and ,> > Stacey--that is too funny!
