Guest guest
Guys, I was just sent this book to review for the Amazon Vine program and I'm VERY impressed: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0811870243/ref=cm_cr_mts_prod_img . Not only does it recommend the use of our favorite blender (always a plus!) but it's got some SLAMMIN' recipes, most of which use a lot of non-run-of-the-mill ingredients. I'm including the recipe for Cha Cha Chai to give you an idea of how unusual these recipes are. Cha Cha Chai (makes 2.5 cups) 2 tbsp. raw honey (they recommend orange blossom) 3/4 cup warm, strong-brewed chai (I recommend a short infusion with a lot of leaf instead; much less apt to be bitter) 1.5 cups diced nectarine (I'd be inclined to freeze) 3/4 cup diced fresh papaya, frozen 1/2 tsp. peeled, chopped fresh ginger 2 - 4 ice cubes (I'd use frozen skim milk cubes) Dissolve honey in chai, chill, add to container, then add other ingredients and blend (VARIABLE 1, ramp up to 10, then to HIGH) until smooth. FWIW, I don't think the dice needs to be small--I'm sure sliced would be fine.
