I will probably get a lot of flack for this, but I can't sit back and watch

all this go on. , thank you AGAIN for all of your help. Do not listen

to the people that have " a missplaced hair " . Their are many more people out

there who appreciate what you do for them. I, for one, am glad you you

switched me over, without my having to do anything. To those people who are

complaining, you were notified by E-mail that this would occur. You COULD

have intercepted being moved, if you wanted to. I am actually glad we have

switched over. If all these people are getting their panties in a bunch

over this, and leaving, maybe we are just doing " housecleaning " of the list.

Like I said before, I will probably get nasty E-mails aimed at me. These

will probably come from the very people this is targeted to. Oh, well. I

think when someone is trying to help you, truly help you, you should not be

chastising them. Why are my feathers ruffled so much? I've been on the

other end, like (other ). It doesn't make you want to devote too

much of your time to something if all you hear is what you're doing wrong.

In the club that I use to be President of, we had several people who could

find no good in anything that was done. When they came to me complaining, I

just said, " That means you're volunteering to chair it the next time,

right? "

, in Seattle, and bracing for impact

PS The other reason I'm upset, is that I'd really like to get back to all

those neat tips, Q's & A's, and recipes that this list is famous for

Branwen's Law of Mailing Lists:

After every disruption in the normal proccesses of the list (i.e. list

change, new moderator, fight, people leaving, etc.) the list will remain

disrupted for a period lasting anywhere from one day to one week. Do not yet

your panties in a bunch, since it's highly unlikely that any change will

destroy the overall integrity of a long-standing mailing list.

I don't want to add to this, but I do feel that the less said, the best

said... This is a list comprised of a community of people interested in

making and developing toiletries. Some are good, some are average, some are

not so good, and so on. But I will take the good with the bad and all the in

between because I expect there to be the occasional griping and moaning.

We're people and people will be people and it doesn't matter how long the

list of rules are that govern a list of people, there are still going to be

the moaners and groaners and the people who feel the need to tell them to

shut up already.

But I don't feel that that's a reason to leave a list. Just hit the delete

key. I would hate to see people leave over something so trivial. Believe me,

you will find these types of back-and-forths and petty skirmishes happening

occasionally on any of the lists you join, and I'm on about 20. It will blow

over. Things will return to normal, and in two weeks time, this won't even

be remembered. But if you remove yourself from the list you deprive yourself

and the list of any thing you could possibly contribute to the list and this

community. Plus, you're miss out on all the wonderful tips and hints

splattered in between all the small talk and chit-chat and petty arguments.

I'm in for the long haul, how about the rest of you?

Yes, please do this. We can't arrange it so that unedited messages don't go

through, although we wish we could. So you will have to take responsibility

for being considerate to digest members. Remember, if someone is on

digest--it is no fun to have to read umpteen footers, onelist adds, etc. And

it takes up band width, and some people do have to pay by the message. So,

edit your messages, PLEASE.

Gently,

Shoshana

Sandy...I'm with you...God Bless...It's only the moon!! 133 years from now the

same kind of bickering will be going on and they can blame it on the moon,

again!! And, thanks, for all your help and support during this list

change-over and moon-shinning. Merry Christmas to all. Jean
