Cranio Sacral must not be considered a Chiropractic technique, at least by

Upledger, or he wouldn't be teaching it to Massage Therapists.

Epstein, the founder of Network, is definitely planning on taking Network

out of the realm of Chiropractic, and teaching it in Florida, as a Masters

course in Wellness Education and Outcomes Assessment. That of course would

be without structural adjusting as part of the curriculum. For more

information on Network, go to http://www.associationfornetworkcare.com

I suspect that the techniques listed on this " blacklist " may not have

published validation papers in peer reviewed indexed medical journals.

The old adage publish or perish may be true clinically as well as

academically. The two techniques that publish the most, Activator and

Chiropractic Biophysics aren't on the hit list.....Stingy payors will

look for any excuse to not pay claims, and what better excuse than " that

method is not scientific " ..Ron Johansen DC, Activator Clinical Instructor

Actually, MUA has been published in peer-reviewed indexed journals on numerous occasions.

Joyce;

It is a sad thing that the administrators of our chiropractic colleges have

for decades entered into a conspiratorial agreement to cripple innovation in

our profession. There are many more effective, and comparatively much safer

techniques and protocols being taught in the field than are taught in our

colleges. Our colleges teach and investigate methods that are a century old

as if this was the only true chiropractic while techniques that empasize the

vision of our founders of a way to remove interference to our innate power

to heal are suppressed.

It is little wonder insurance companies, and toadies like CHP and others

jump on the same bandwagon - though for different reasons - and insist that

only the WWF approach to chiropractic is legitimate chiropractic.

The whole world is making he paradigm shift to energetic medicine, while our

colleges are mired in an old medical/PT model of chiropractic that does not

reflect the spirit, or word of D.D. and B.J.

It is little wonder that some of these innovators in our profession are

teaching what are very sophisticated chiropractic mehodologies to people

outside our profession. Unfortunately many people in our colleges, and many

in the field still thing chiropractic is about " mechanics " , and not about

strategies to free the innate intelligence of the body to restore health.

And speaking of which, I hope everyone on the board checks out the website

for NMT: The Feinberg Technique at www.nmtseminars.com We have three

upcoming seminars on the west coast. A comprehensive level seminar followed

by an advanced level seminar in Seattle the second and third weekend in

August; and a comprehensive level seminar in San Diego in September.

Further information is available on our website. I do not teach LMTs, but

many of those I do train are acupuncturists, MDs, DOs, psychologists,

veterinarians, dentists, and psychologists.

Best regards,

S. Feinberg, D.C.

In fact a study just out of UCLA with researcher Haldeman is to be published in Spine soon..regarding MUAs. Haldeman was very conservative in his validation of the efficacy of this procedure and emphasis proper patient selection...nonetheless the report is positive for MUAs performed of course on the right patient population!
