Guest guest
Hi, I know I talk as an english person and to us grommits are ear tubes (actually its grommets bit whats in a vowel?!). Anyway, this was a grommit moment as opposed to grommet, grommit being of the wallace and grommit fame, I am hoping you all know who they are, if not then the characters in the chicken run film. Anyway, its losing its impact in explanation! So, there we were at our local theme park, flamingo land, in north yorkshire, 20 or so celcius, clear blue skies, light breeze (April is normally rain rain and more rain here) and tim decides he'd like to ride the 'frog hopper'. This is one of those towers thats raises you up and then drops you at speed, only being a kiddie version it drops you a little, and back up, drops a bit more and back up etc. Anyway, he's all bravado, swaggers up up to it, look mummy no hands as they go up, and then they drop and he does this grommit grimace where you can see all his teeth and gums, back up and alls well, drop and the grommit grimace. OK so you had to be there, but it entertained me and the other parents watching their kids. I think its the low muscle tone in his face that made his mouth stretch, no one elses did and some of them were terrified, tim actually enjoyed it tho he declined a second trip!! sue wong

Guest guest
is a real daredevil and loves all the BIG rides at any amusement park. The only ones he objects to are the roller coasters with nothing under your feet. He will NOT ride those. Mom had to ride one roller coaster and I don't have the best equilibrium for that and had to shut my eyes while and (dh) laughed at me.
