I don't like clowns but I don't think that's the case with her because she likes the Big Comfy Couch which feature people who (sorta) resemble clowns... without all that makeup Did I mention she's very flexible? She's got a higher tolerance for pain that I do...... I needed an epidural when I was only 2 cm's dilated with Savannah.... I'm such a wuss! Okay.... Guest guest
Nic doesn't have many fears(MY biggest fear) but one of his is Band-Aids. He is deathly afraid of them even if they are on someone else. Di Some common oddities our kids share Fears - is also afraid of feathers and dust bunnies, loves looking at spider webs but gets scared if he comes too close to one. Clowns are not an issue - my oldest son told me that I use to scare him with the jack in the box when he was young (he had it from age 1-2 and can still remember his fear) - I felt so bad because he told me this 9 years ago. He forbids clowns for . No matter what position or stage, can immediately point to where the moon is. I'll have to think of what other things I have noticed about him. What have you all noticed? LOL He has this facination with DragonBallZ and has to collect every video ever made from them. The movies have pictures on the cover so when you line them up they go together to make a bigger picture and he has to keep them all out to see them all day. He has started to do puzzles and starts one and if he gets bard he gets another one out. There could be puzzles everywhere if I let him. By the way he has even done a 500 piece puzzle. won't even try gum but loves Chocolate. Today we had to go to church, then to breakfast, then to the store and he reminded me in church about going to breakfast and then the store!! At least he doesn't let me forget anything :-). also has an unusual fear of trees, he will walk out of his way to avoid a tree. Guest guest
(8, DS) LOVES bandaids. If anybody in the house says " ouch " he runs to the bathroom and grabs a bandaid. He went through a period of having one on at all times. When he wants it off - he just says " all done " . Now my other son (NDS) will scream at the sight of them. in Dallas
Guest guest
I was just thinking that doesnt hate band aids, but once they are on, will not let anyone take them off. She can have a bandaid on for a week even through alot of showering. And if she has one on, she will not move that part of her body at all! Also, if she falls or say scrapes her knee or gets any kind of boo boo, she cries alot, I mean alot. Alec is the same way, if he has a bandaid on or even a cut or bruise without a bandaid, he will refuse to move that body part. He tries to take it one step further, where he will tell me that he does not want to take a bath or shower. Alec also has to turn all of the lights on in the room that he is in. He also likes to use certain plates and/or utensils to eat certain foods. He wants to eat vanilla ice cream in a blue bowl with his yellow flamingo spoon. Alec loves to eat ice, so I bought a Hawaiian ice shaver at Target last year. Of course, he likes to have his shaved ice in a cup that we got from disney and use a slurpee looking blue spoon from a dollar store. lori

Guest guest
Kaitlyn loves bandaids. Except when she really needs one. She is like that with all sickness and injury. She wants to go to the Dr. all the time. Then when she is really really ill, she wants nothing to do with him? This is how I have come to gauge how sick she is really. The less she crys for the dr. the more I know she needs to go see him. I think she does have a high tolerance for pain, so it is sometimes difficult to know how bad off she really is. Kaitlyn loves to look at photo albums or flip through loose photos. She loves to sort paper plates napkins, all kinds of papers. She takes her shoes off as soon as she hits the door. This has improved from taking them off in the school bus. She won't keep her coat on in the car or in a store. She is deathly afraid of storms. And is overreactive even to high winds. Now when you live in Kansas, high wind comes with the territory! This can be a pain in the middle of the night. She also has a fear of laying on her back on the doctors exam table or similar things. Changing diapers in public places was not fun. She doesn't like to float on her back in water either. Darcy Mom to 12, Kaitlyn 9 w/ds, Grant 7 in 12 days. From: linman42@... Guest guest
HI Sara's oddity at least in my house is she is a neat freak ............ everything has a place and she goes nuts when her nephew dumps out the toy box to play. She complains that her daddy is messy and will pick up after him. Sara has a fear of falling, she looks down when she walks ..... why she runs into folks at the store lol she only tolerate a Band-Aids for a short time and has to watch all medical procedures ......... shots in the rear send her into a fit. If Sara is annoyed with you she will mock what you say in an awful tone while making a face ........ I'll laugh at her and this breaks the mood she's in lol Sara's gotten real good at recognizing the time and when her favorite shows come on ..... here Brady Bunch comes on at 7pm and she makes me watch it with her. She doesn't realize Ive seen every episode lol She loves fingernail polish but by the end of the day she's chewed it all off. Sara can recognize everyone's voice on the phone, even the ones trying to disguise it. She hates yelling and the one yelling loudest is always the one wrong ............ she loves to mediate Kathy mom to Sara

Guest guest
Fiona could wrap an almost perfect bandage around an arm or a leg when she was about 3. Her favorite game is playing " sick " or " hospital " and has been for years. There are seldom days where she doesn't get in a short round of " doctor " or some such game. She has, of course, been traumatized over and over again in hospitals and doctors offices and this is her way of coping. But it is funny, for a scrape or something that happens at home, she won't tolerate a band-aid either. She will accept one after having her blood drawn, but won't move her arm until it is removed later. Gundula
