Guest guest
Hi a, I am so sorry for not getting right back to you. I had a virus and wasn't feeling too well for a couple of days. How are you feeling? Did you get your new key board? I am being causious about this massage therapy thing. I remember when you told about your experince on a cruise. Guest guest
Lynn, I hope you're feeling better. No I haven't gotten another keyboard yet. It's to nasty to go out. It's supposed to get nicer by Thursday, so hopefully I'll feel like going out. I don't blame you for being careful about the massage therapy. Healthy people can pick one out of a hat, but for us it's not quite so easy. I'm feeling better thanks. Looking for an answer to your eating problem, I've been reading about nutrition. It amazes me how many diseases are caused by poor nutrition. Eating small frequent meals is probably much better for you. I've been trying to get more greens in my diet, and found that kale is considered a super food, with twice the nutrients as broccoli. Kale is much to course to eat in a salad, although I am forcing myself to eat a little raw every day. I found a kale soup recipe that is packed with nutrients and I've been eating it every day for lunch. It's easy to prepare: Chop a med onion and 4-5 cloves of garlic and fry it in olive oil until the onion is translucent. Add 4 chopped potatoes and 3 cups of chopped kale. Make sure you only use the leaves of the kale and not the stems. Cook this for about an hour or more until the potatoes are soft, and then put it all in a food processor or blender and puree it. Add salt and pepper to taste. That is the basic recipe. I've been eating it every day for lunch and whenever I'm hungry. I'm also adding other ingredients to experiment. I added oregano and it was good. I may add mushrooms, celery or carrots next time. If you don't like green soup, this may not be your cup of tea. I like split pea soup, so green soup doesn't bother me. Hope you're feeling better a Re: [ ] The Arthritis Foundation's Guide to Alternative Therapies Hi a, I am so sorry for not getting right back to you. Guest guest
Hi PAULA, Your soup sounds good. I may try it. I made Italian wedding soup and that was good. I have been trying to eat a lot of veggies and fruit. If I could get past feeling nauseous I would feel better. Laurie got me information on the Whipple but it didn't contain anything about after the whipple. No one seems to know anything about afterwards. I eat a lot of fish thank goodness I like it. I was hoping it would warm up a little so I could go for a walk. They keep saying it is going to be nice but I think it is cold and nasty out. and you have both sent me some good links recently. I am being very cautious about this massage therapy thing. When I read the post from here I see a lot of people have gone into more pain. I don't know what I want to do at this point. I'm just going to look into it and than decide. Hope you feel well enough to go out and get the new keyboard. Don't rush yourself though, shopping is very difficult on us. I find shopping the #1 cause for addition fatigue. Laurie will be 21 tomorrow and I don't have her presents yet. I am having a dinner for her on Saturday so I have to get shopping I just hate to go. You have a good day my friend. If you would like to try the Italian Wedding Soup I can give you the recipe it is easy. Hope today is painfree.
