Guest guest
Would anyone who's going be interested in sharing a room and splitting the costs let me know? Even though I live close enough to drive back and forth, from what I understand, it's better to just get a room and stay so I don't miss anything. Oh Jackie!!!!! We're gonna miss you.....it's just NOT fair!!!!!! We have all been so excited about seeing EVERYONE. This group is definitely dwindling :-( Being a bit selfish......I hope there are changes that can make it possible for you to come....even if only for a day. We'll be bringing our laptop to keep up with all. Take care. The O'Hara family ( Sandy, Larry, 19yo, Kali 15yo w/DS )
Guest guest
Thanks for the nice thoughts Sharon, wish you could come up. Hope you all have a great get together down south. We may be headed down this summer to your area.....if we do, maybe we can hook up. It'd be really neat if we could make it at the same time that & her clan go down for their annual. We both go to the same area, up around " Surfside " ....although I have been considering going down to your area, away from the maddening crowds. Take care, Sandy O'Hara
Guest guest
I wish I could come,...but I cant...the planes don't let you on unless you have a ticket, which unfortunately you need heaps of money to buy. Now if everyone wants to send $3 ( has to be US dollars...yours is worth more to me than mine ) to me, then maybe I can come to the next one Gwhiz@... wrote: > In a message dated 1/16/2003 11:13:54 PM Eastern Standard Time, > jbocci55 writes: > > > I hate having to write this, but the Botches cannot come to > > Lancaster at this > > point in time.......AGAIN! > > Oh Jackie!!!!! > We're gonna miss you.....it's just NOT fair!!!!!! > We have all been so excited about seeing EVERYONE. > This group is definitely dwindling :-( > Being a bit selfish......I hope there are changes that can make it > possible for you to come....even if only for a day. > We'll be bringing our laptop to keep up with all. > > Take care. > The O'Hara family ( Sandy, Larry, 19yo, Kali 15yo w/DS ) > >
Guest guest
Hey....... here's a thought........You know all those formula cans I've been asking for...... well...... I'm turning them into " piggy " banks (minus the pig look) in my quest to try and get rid of the TONS of fabric that I have stashed. I planned on selling them so I could come to the Suaree in June, BUT.... I could always save up the money and use it towards the group for those who want to come to our yearly functions but can't afford to do so. It wouldn't be much, but it would help. Since we are a non-profit org, couldn't we do something to raise money so that our members from far away could join us? Maybe a thought for next year guys. We are not a non-profit organization and never will be. What makes Upsndowns successful is the grass-rootsiness (sp?) of the group.
Guest guest
Ahh... okay. I assumed that because of the website having .org at the end, I thought it was. Thanks for clearing that up for me :-) Judi - Proud mother to Jordan 7, ds and Savannah 10 weeks, nda Where ever you go.... Guest guest
We're home too. Everyone enjoyed themselves, from what I could tell & from what they told me. It was a VERY small gathering this year......AND, as said; " It wasn't the Eden " . The Inn we stayed at was nice, also fairly clean. The staff were pleasant as well. However, I'd consider either going back to the Eden or some other place next time. We really did miss all the folks who weren't able to come, sorry that you all couldn't make it :-( We were really glad that & Gavin were able to come over & party with us. After 3 weeks off on short term disability, I plan on returning to work tomorrow & am in much need of SLEEP!!!!! Something I didn't get much of during our time in Lancaster..........on purpose except for the blasted fire alarm. !!!!!! I just know must be laughing her hiney off over that one!!!!!!! it seems that whenever our group gets together, we're not without some excitement.........BTW, this is not the first time we've had to get out of bed at a gathering for a fire alarm.............ANYONE want to fess up now? LOL Well, that's it for now.....time to get sleep. TTFN, Sandy O'Hara
Guest guest
Timbo wasnt in Lancaster so we didnt get to check out his butt. But, I was glad I had on the good jammies while we were out in the lobby! Sandy said I might have won with my moon and cloud jammies for best dressed night wear!!! LOL I think my son was in boxers!!! And Ralph was in jammies too, in case some of you wondered. And Larry hid in his room - maybe he had only boxers too??? ~ Mom to 12 DS and Diabetes Type 1 and 8 NY
