~ Hi!! I'm A New Member !!!!! ~

My name is Janet Schuhart, and I live in Wilmington, Delaware. I have an

in-home daycare, where I am blessed to be the child care provider of a

beautiful 2 year old boy with Downs Syndrome. He has become the light of my

life, and I am looking to join this list so I can learn more about Down's and

the trials and tribulations of children with Down's. His parents & I are very

close (we went to high school together 14 years ago!), and they are so

helpful with my questions! I am also learning sign language right now, to be

able to communicate with him, as they have chosen to do at home. I am also

making arrangements to attend some of his therapy sessions at the Easter

Seals, so I can learn & see what they are doing there, and reinforce it in my

home. I have a 3yo son, who loves his daycare buddy, and is learning

compassion & consideration with him! I am looking to find a group to help me

with questions, to support me & Josh's family & just be able to brag about my

sweetie with people who have been there! Here is a pic from my website of
