I think that sounds great! My only suggestion would be that you maybe do

a Web search or a local title check (or whatever those things are called)

to find out who (if anyone) is already using the " Bath Indulgences " name.

That might save you some grief down the line if that person decides to

give you a hard time for infringing on their territory, or if you both

decide to get Web sites with that business name, etc. :->

Hello, Everyone!

I guess I'm a businesswoman now. :-) A friend of mine wants to sell my bath and body products at her father's gift shop in southern Virginia. It's a small, family-owned shop in the town of Clintwood, and my friend wants to sell my products by themselves and inside gift baskets that she makes. We'll see how this arrangement works out! I really don't think my stuff is good enough yet (I've only been doing this since December 2000), but she just raves and raves about my stuff (and so does her family), so I decided to try it out. What the heck. :-) The deal is, she pays me up front for the items that she orders, and then I send them to her. She has an entire area of her father's store set aside for her gift baskets. The good thing is, it's a very rural area, and the only bath and body store, which is Bath & Body Works, is 1.5 hours away. I asked her, "So where do people there get their bath and body stuff?" And she said, "Usually Wal-Mart." And the store is along the main street of her town, so I'm hoping that it will get good business. The only thing is, I've never seen the store and it will be hard because I can't be there, so she will have to be good about ordering in advance and letting me know when things need to be restocked. She ordered $63 worth of products from me on Friday, so I'm busily filling that order! She wanted several kids' soaps, so today I made a light-blue bar of pearlized M & P soap with a yellow rubber duckie soap sitting inside, like the duck is floating in the water, and I scented it with bubble gum. I hope she likes those -- they did turn out cute, if I say so myself! hehe :-) I just called to have my New York state tax ID form mailed to me so that I can fill it out, and I'm looking into insurance. I also chose "Bath Indulgences" as my business name ... what do you guys think of that? I think it accurately portrays the kind of stuff that I want to sell. Geez, I hope this all goes well!!! I'm kind of nervous about it. Even if it fails, then I'll have gotten some good experience, I guess. Wow, I'm really excited! Thanks for all of the help you guys have given me ... I couldn't do this if it weren't for all of you! You all are so much more talented than I am, and I have learned SO much from all of you. I will definitely, definitely be asking a lot of questions in the future!!!

Take care,

nne this is great! Congrats!

Relax.... everything I've seen you do is great! We are our own worse

critics when it comes to our own products so keep that in mind.... what

you see and what everyone else see's are totally different points of

view. Have fun with this. You've already gotten past the hard part.....

selling to the store owner. If they like the product enough to carry it

their store then the want to offer it to their customers.
