Guest guest
I wouldn't let the bad management of one Wal-Mart effect my feelings n my local one. Just my opinion. I'm curious to see how they handle this tho' Di Re: So you want to shop at WalMart Tim, I know all this bad stuff about wal mart, but I still do want to shop there - can I, please, please, please????? Guest guest
As a matter of fact we went to Walmart today. I don't believe they are any worse than many other companies. For instance, when Dillard's got in trouble and was sued by a black woman here, employees admitted that they were instructed to watch black people, and also people with wheelchairs.!!!!!! At one shopping center the only elevators are in Dillards so we have to walk through but I am very uncomfortable. We only walk through, don't shop. And I breathe easier when we are out. I don't like Kmart because their computers goof up, and if they charge you the wrong price they will argue into the ground over a $1 overcharge. I do go there once in awhile if I can't find something somewhere else. I watch the checkers closely. Wal-Mart hires people of all colors and persuations, at least ours does. Also they all shop there, a very mixed clientele. And everyone seems more relaxed and friendly. There isn't anywhere else in our nearby community where we can buy many of the things they have. And I buy things with confidence there because they will always take it back. Sometimes they are cheaper and sometimes not, that isn't the main thing. And several people who work there have told me it's a good place to work. Almost everything sold in this country is made overseas by underpaid labor, or worse. I abhor that, but if we didn't buy any of those things we would have nothing to wear, no electronics, many other things. They are not made in this country any more. That is one of the reasons we have so many economic problems. But except for it's size, I can't believe Wal-Mart is worse than all of the others. Jessie, mom of , age 37, the light of my life.
