Thank you so much for all or your kind words and support. I had

wanted to respond to everyone who emailed me, but because we got so

much overwhelming support from the group, I knew I wouldn't be able

to email everyone personally. This group is so wonderful and so

supportive. Your words were such a comfort.

The hospital would like to release the baby to cradle care to a

couple who is trained in caring for children with medical needs,

until a home is found. I have been advocating for this baby. I

called someone who has a waiting list of families who want to adopt

a child with down syndrome, and I believe she is going to get in

touch with the adoption agency. I know there is a family for this

beautiful baby boy.

Today will be a hard day because today would have been the day we

would have brought him home. But just knowing that he will go to a

good family that can care for him, brings me comfort. We, with all

of our hearts, would like to adopt our fourth child with down

syndrome. We just understand better what is best for our family (as

far as medical concerns.) If anyone from the group ever knows of a

baby that needs a home, please think of us.

I have learned so much from your posts, especially that I need to

continue to be an advocate for parents and children of special needs.
