Hi,

Well, first I just want to thank so many of you that responded to my

stressful post about amanda and her diabetes struggles. This group is

awesome!!!

Anyway, Monday, we have an appointment with the endo nurse practioner and

hopefully he will answer most of my concerns. They are also going to do a

glucose monitoring long term thingie. (Monitor her blood sugars over a 5 day

period). But to do this, they have to put like a needle inside attached to

monitor. UGH! Well it turned out pretty well, because the kids are off from

school and so is ralph and he can go with us for that - so at least amanda

and I wont be alone.

OK, happy tears part - amanda plays soccer with typical kids. She has been

begging her coach to be goalie. So he kept practicing with her and

practicing and said to me, " One game when we are up a few points , I'll put

her in as goalie " . Well, today was the day - and its like a regualtion size

field so the goalie post is huge!

So, thankfully, the ball didnt even go near her, but she did it, she was

goalie and she didnt get a point scored against her. I was so thrilled! And

the way she told the coach exactly what she wanted and he listened, really

impressed me.

Oh these lives we lead, trully are full of !
