Guest guest
Sorry I don't write much but I am out here. ,thanks for remembering about my grandson and his medical problems.I will bring that up another time. Epidurals.Had them 3 times, love them!!! I had them for one foot and for both my total hip replacements. I told the anesthetist and the nurses in the pre-op room that I wanted to be put out to the point where I would not hear the bone saw or voices or smells. I went out right away and " came to " in the recovery room. I was so alert and the good side effect with the epidurals is that you don't feel pain for 12 to 24 hours in the hip. I know one of the drugs was versed and that might be the one that brings amnesia. Now I tell them to check my records and duplicate whatever was done before. They couldn't do it with my shoulders and I had that horrid groggy feeling from the general anesthesia. Just make sure they give you enough of the versed and whatever so you don't wake up. Guest guest
Hi, I had an epidural with my daughter, I could feel all the pain down my left side of my body. I had no pain on the right. [ ] Epidurals Hello again, Has anyone had any luck with epidural injections in the spine? The Dr said there was only a 50% chance it would help but I have two bulging discs at the lumbar area. It seems I cannot get the pain to lessen with anything except it will decrease some if I use a heating pad. I also have DJD in that area. How long does it take to work if it does, and will they do it in the office? Thanks for any advice.
