Guest guest
My shoulders and right knee pops all the time. Both shoulders pop when I raise them, in any position. It isn't painful if I refrain from raising them much, but if I do it repeatedly or more than once, it starts to hurt worse. I have noticed a constant pain in my right shoulder about where the collar bone meets the shoulder. Does the popping noises mean joint damage? I saw my doctor last week about my joint pain. I couldn't wait for my regular checkup date. I woke up last Tuesday and my fingers hurt so bad I couldn't even button my jeans. He looked at my hands and ankles and sent me to the lab for blood work. I found out Friday they were normal. I have to see him again next week. He gave me Naproxen. He saw definite swelling in my hands. My little finger on my left hand hurt really bad the other day and I could see it swelling so there were no folds in the middle knuckle, but the next morning the swelling was down. I feel the pain isn't as bad when I make a fist or pinching motion, but any pressure on my fingers hurts bad still. I hurts just to fold socks. I feel pathetic some times. Can the pain and swelling change like that from day to day? Debbie Mc
Guest guest
Debbie, I don't know exactly what the popping noises mean, I have an elbow that does that and my last appointment my doctor only said that he was " concerned " . My blood work came back pretty good (much better than a few months ago). As for the pain and swelling, it absolutely can change day to day. I have even had days where it will change over the course of the day. You're not crazy. Hang in there. Sherri --- Debbie Mc <angelrose@...> wrote: > My shoulders and right knee pops all the time. Guest guest
Thanks Kathy. It is so wierd how almost every day the pain is in a different joint. Today has been a pretty good day. I do notice my knuckles are all very red, but I can't feel a differnce in temperature. I also thought I was having hot flashes and night sweats. I had my hormones checked and thyroid, and they are normal too. I started taking my temperature and sure enough, it's been up to 99 for the last 4 days. Guest guest
Very strange, isn't it Sherri. I remember as a girl my knees would both pop very loudly when I knelt down. Now they just hurt when I kneel, but when I walk, it pops with every step. After shopping or walking for any length of time, my knee starts to hurt. Thanks for replying. I appreciate it. Guest guest
i usually run 99.3 everyday. just enough to make me feel icky. when i am in a flare, like now thanks to thi infection i run it all day, not just in the afternoon/evening. my foot is still draining, but looks like it is slowing down. thank god!!! it was really itching last night. i go to physical therapy today so hopefully they will tell me good news. kathy in il
Guest guest
My normal temperature is about 97.5 and blood pressure 105/70. Two things that are right about me. I do run a low-grade temp after surgery but only for a couple of days. If I have 99 then I'm really sick! Guest guest
I always run (as a " normal base " ) temperature of at least over a degree BELOW 98.6... My daughter (I have 3) is like me also. My mother was like this. So when I " get a temperature " , and go to doctor throwing up and they take the temp and see it is " only " a 101, they say that this is not bad! Well it is if your temp runs 96-97.something!!! as " normal " . Only one doctor in my life did not think me strange. He agreed that some people do indeed keep low body temp...even without an illness causing it. But I don't have LOW BP, I have high. Been like this for at least a year now. Stays at least around 150/96... and that is " good days " ! The days the pain is severe to the point I pray to God to let me die... it is much much higher. And of course the RA doc sees this BP of mine, NORMAL... hahahaha!
