Guest guest
I just moved to Florida and visited my new AICD Doctor. I was pretty confident after 8 months with no Zap. Then while engaging in marital relations, seconds before that important moment...ZAP. I was shocked!!! I was shocked that I didn't pass out. I was shocked that it didn't hurt (4.7 joules.) I was shocked that it was over before I even realized that I was shocked. I was shocked that my wife thought that might be enough risk-taking for that day, (though she said that she didn't feel anything..from the zap (lol). It took a week to coinvince wife it was a one time thing... Zap...it happened again. I was beginning to wonder if I would have to make a choice between " not doing it " and death! After a 3rd try (thanks to a brave wife) and 3rd Zap, I convinced the Doctor to change the settings upward 20 points. NO more zaps since. I subsequently bought a heart monitor watch and and found that at " that moment " I run just 3 heartbeats faster then the previous zap setting. Re an earlier letter about people over 30.... When my 16yo daughter found out she thought we were " Disgraceful. " My 13yo daughter's comment, " Ewww.You did it while I was in the house? " We are not afraid of (me) getting zapped anymore, and we have a lot to laugh about. __________________________________________________
