Just think of it this way... since it is a form of the virus that causes chicken

pox, shingles, etc. Maybe they will not get it again, since " technically " you

are supposed to have chicken pox more than once. So maybe they'll be immune to

it from now on.

It is worth hoping for....

Anne

Just a bit more of Anne's babbling.....

I got the chicken pox from my brother who brought them home from Kindergarten...

he broke out on Christmas Eve. I broke out the night before I was supposed to

go back to school in January... I was 14. I had such a wicked case that I

spent it in the ICU... I had chicken pox in places you shouldn't be able to get

them... down my throat, in my lungs, I was REALLY sick! Got over the chicken

pox, and got a mega-case of Mononucleosis, and pneumonia... I guess my body

didn't think it was done with the ICU!

Other than the red measles that I got from the vaccine at about 18 months.....

with a 105 degree temp. But other than that, I have gotten ALL my childhood

diseases from my brother, he is 9 years younger! And I always seem to get

them about 4-5x worse than he did!

I had Mumps in 11th grade, I was diagnosed on Thanksgiving.... Chipmunk Cheeks

was a MAJOR UNDERSTATEMENT!!! Jim didn't get them, just brought them home FOR

ME!!!

I guess this would be one reason that I truly believe my brother is an alien!

Oops, missed a rather important word

there.... if you find any others, oops!

Aisha and Anne,

Thanks much for the great links. Throat culture came back negative

for strep, so doc is assuming it's a variant of the coxsackie virus...

Plus that, my cousin's baby just came down with hand-foot-mouth

disease (also a form of coxsackie) so I guess that's what it is.

Oh joy, though, my 8yo Adrienne woke up last night with a fever...so

I guess she's got it too!! What fun we have around here!! LOL
