Guest guest
Dear Colleen; Congratulations! That is wonderful news. I just want you to research your meds. Amiodarone, is a miracle drug - one my Father was on as an experimental drug in the eighties, with great results - he lived 8 years on it in congestive heart failure. One lucky guy then. He did not seem to have any side effects to the drug, and certainly decided to take the drug rather than not. Just letting you know that there are alot of side affects - so just know what you are taking and make your choices wisely. ~guin "Colleen M. I awoke at 3:00 a.m. this morning and prayed my believers prayer and then let it go. After the Electrophysiology Study was done, the doctor determined that I would only need a medication and not the defibrillator. Isn't God great? The medication is Amiodarone HCL 200MG. I am so happy we made it over this hurdle. Now on to the next. Thank you for all your prayers and let's keep the prayers going. Much Love, ColleenColleen M. Venters 423 W. Guest guest
It has been a year this past November that my mom got her defibulator. Luckily it has never gone off... her ejection rate has gone from 10 percent to 35 also has a new life style of exercise, diet and LOTS of meds. My question is this, she is on amirodione and I keep hearing about the side effects. What exactly are they? Thanks, Sheri

Guest guest
is on the amiodarone 200mg and has the splotches to. The Dr told us this is one of the common side effects. Got his defib a year ago Nov. Went off 9 times in March - but doing good now. Has a lot of pills to take also, but if you look at what could happen.. We finished of the last of the black fish the other night. Flounder went quite quickly (as soon as we caught it). Love that fish - plus the fishing part helps keep most people calm so it is also healthy weather or not you catch anything.
