Like a matrix I know here we have separate pages. Their explanation was for this that each person was accountable, for recording progress etc..... Her OT goals were then only ones at one time that were being carried to where ever Sara was. Now Sara's learning how to make charts and graphs on her IEP. This would be wonderful if they worked on this skill in Science and SS. Something Im going to point out to them next week Kathy mom to Sara 10 ....... maybe SARA needs to make the graph to point out where her objectives can be worked on hmmmmmmm >> Kathy, We were wonderfully fortunate to have an exceptional speech therapist that would come into the sp. ed. room during 's pull out and work with the sp. ed. teacher and aide for speech with . Since the teacher and aide were there they knew exactly what and how something was being done and it carried over. It also helped that the during reg. phy ed when worked with the adaptive pe teacher the aide was there working with someone else. She saw what was working on with teacher and could carry it over to other times. I'm afraid we may lose much of this with the move to middle school. Elem. was so exceptional. I knew every time a pipe cleaner spider came home that it wasn't a useless art project but that had counted out each leg. That they had discussed the colors used and identified each one. That they discussed where spiders lived and ate. It is wonderful to know that the bases are being covered without my pushing. OHHHH my, hope middle school is half as good, Karyn

And such an example of how one item can be used in a wide variety of lessons! I hope middle school is good to you too! ;-) Cheryl in VA
