Greetings everyone!

I trust you and your families are doing well... despite the daily barrage of scary news reports.

One of the big concerns for ICD recipients is: What will the tightened security measures mean for us? You can get some insight from the Zapper BBS where flying 'Roos have shared their experiences.

For all those entering the scary world of an arrhythmia diagnosis... breaking news offers many new options... more and more all the time. The most recent: A new pacemaker that will actually call your doctor to report irregularities! A new study also offers progress in treating atrial fibrillation. Another report covers a minimally invasive bipolar radiofrequency procedure for A-Fib. Read about other new ICD's and other advances including a startling story about a procedure that keeps the heart beating outside the body.

Everyone... current ICD recipients, their friends and family members, Roo candidates, and those with Emeritus status are ALL welcome at our five weekly Zap•Chats. Thursday evening (8PM EST) remains our most popular session. , our guardian angel (an engineer at Guidant) frequently takes part - and is a great resource if you have technical questions. It's a great place to share experiences - and discover peace of mind.
