Guest guest Posted September 30, 2001 Report Share Posted September 30, 2001 yes i concurr, i dont appear to have any symptoms of lupus and when i first got ra many years ago i tested low positive for the ana, the lowest number possible. then shortly after i began treatment it tested negative and remained so until i got on a new ra med. this med i think has caused the problems because it was only after taking it that i began testing postive for ana, and this time postive for a number of autoanibodies for lupus. one being the lupus anti. that causes blood clots. in looking up the side effects of this med that was one of the things it did, gave you positive dsdna and lupus anticardi. among several others. plus another side effect was blood problems, of which i now have, and another side effect was vasculities, which i now have. i had nothing like this before the drug. \ however my dr , he states that i now have lupus, he said i had lupus looking labs about nine months ago or so and said it was very mild, and then along came the x ray and now he says i have sle along with ra. my goodness. i thought it was weird. now he wants to put me on blood thinners. what a mess well have to read more of your post and study it. thanks. sbt Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
