I don't know whether you have an A.C. MOORE store near you but I got a flyer

the other day with sale items. They have a $100 Xyron S10 Sticker Machine,

Laminator,

Label Maker, and Magnet Maker in the flyer. They also have a coupon good

for 40%

off any item in the store. Is this machine anything like what you saud you

use?

I know nothing about these machines but if this is something that works for

us soap

and toiletry makers, ut may be worth it for me to make the 20 minute ride to

pick one

up for $60. What do you think?

No I had been buying theminthe store, it was at that point I had subscribed. I think... Anyway that dosnt matter. You ought to give them a call or email. I think they say they take 6 to 8 weeks before they start comming in mail, but you should give them a jingle.

Hey, I ENJOY looking at other people's work no matter what

How come all I see is a sky and the rooftop of a house? Is

Do you make "flavored" lip balms? I made a batch this weekend

with a "Mint Julip" flavoring I purchased at Brambleberry. But

I don't know what to put on my labels for that ingredient. Is it

mandatory to put something other than FDA APPROVED FLAVORING

on the label?

Gee, I missed the whole thing with your ankle bite. Did that happen

near the end of the day or the beginning? Boy, I know how those horseflies

can bite. We don't have too many around here but I used to be a camper

and just HATED those things. OW!!

Let me know if you DO decide to take a ride this way. I'd love to have

you guys stop in for a visit. And be sure to bring your bathing suits.

We're really easy to get to from the Herkimer Exit (30) on the Thruway.

Just ask nne - I drew her a map and it was REAL simple!! About

(20) minutes from us is what they call the Herkimer Diamond Mines where

you can dig for quarts diamonds. And would you believe I've never been

there? And if you were in the area on a weekday, if your husband is into

hunting at all, of course the Remington Arms Co. is here right in town and

I think they give tours twice per day. That's where I used to work for (26)

years. In case you aren't familiar with Remington, they manufacturer the

best hunting shotguns and rifles in the world. I'm sure your husband will

recognize the name. There is a lot of History in this area, too, if the kids

are into that sort of thing.

Well, it's getting HOT so I think I'll take another day off and spend it

outside in the pool. You know how NY doesn't get a LOT of these days

so I have to take advantage of them when they're here.

yea, Im just getting rested up myself. I had had a really hard time sleeping friday nite and also saturday nite. Not sure if it was the excitment of the gathering or just that it was too darn hot. Yesterday I just felt wiped out all day. Oh and thanks all for the concern about my foot, Its all better now the swelling was completely gone by the next day. Colleen, I dont want you to feel bad about that! Wasnt your fault it bit me. Heck they hang out around here too. Im not a stranger to deerfly bites. It was really no big deal.

M, My hubby and I were just talking about maybe doing a long weekend trip and to go Herkimer and see what there is to do there. If we do that, I'll look you up and bring you a choco mint plant. We didnt definatley plan anything tho, we're just wanting to do something with the kids.

Where o' where is this list located!? I need to get put on it!! I have an

unlisted # and I keep getting calls from the phone company. They won't

stop calling twice a week trying to get me to sign up for another plan.

How they time it so they get through to my phone (I'm on the computer 24/7

almost) is a mystery when everyone else gets a busy signal.

I keep telling them I'm not interested and that I pay for an unlisted phone

# so I don't have to put up with these kinds of calls (which they should

know since they are who I pay!!!) but they just keep calling back. Bob got

the call once, told them I wasn't coming to the phone and to stop calling

because I'd told them 14 times already I wasn't interested. It went on

like this for at least 10 minutes. It ended w/ them saying they were going

to call back to talk to me. For Petes sake what is up w/ that?!?! lol

Yeah, what exactly is that cone thingy for? It doesn't seem to do anything.

I always measure my f/o's by teaspoons. Is that thingy some kind of dropper?

If so, how do you use it?

you can also pop out the plastic cone thingy in the cap. there might be some fo trapped behind that. Just take a tip of a knife and pry it out. Clean it and then pop it back in after its dry.

you want essential oils instead of fragrance oils and he said yes.

He said he had once smelled a combination of bergomot and

something like cyclamin? I had never heard of anything similar to

cyclamin (sp?) and searched some e/o sites today and can't find a name

similar to it. Have any of you heard of such a thing? It sounds like

a drug to me. It's possible he's got the name wrong. If none of you

have heard of it or something similar, I'll have to email him and ask

him if he knows exactly how to spell it.

Now, since I don't have many e/o's in stock, I'm going to need to go

shopping. So if any of you have info on the best place to buy e/o's, I

would certainly appreciate some help. Then once I get some, I'll be

asking for help as far as qty. to use, etc. I'm not real big on using them

because of the safety precautions with people who are pregnant, high

blood pressure, etc. that I always see listed on websites. Does that

usually pertain to soaps, too? It doesn't seem like the little amount used

in soaps could be that dangerous but I may be wrong. Help me out here,

girls. I have until about the end of the month to put samples together

before I find out if I get the account.

Actually what I did and will be doing this week.Aww Mornin Ladies and Gents, Im just sitting here, drinking coffee andsitting at the puter. I read this morning that on this nimda virus it canbe caught even on surfing infected sites. Well this morning I opened a siteand my Norton antivirus came up saying it intercepted one. So I immedietlyclosed that one. Hope everyones antivirus is up to date cuz I hear itsnasty nasty. Cyberterrorism eh?Well, to anyone intersted in my boring life, this week I have made 96 ofbath salts with 6 more to do (waiting on a fo order)+ extra for thecraftmall, labeled about 200 bars of soap, made lotions, and 160 bathfizzies with 640 more to go (again waiting on an order for supplies), onelotion bar and a partrige in a pear tree.... Needless to say I've been kindabusy and business has been good this week. When my FO order comes I have tomake 3 more batches of soap to complete this order. LOL M. I wasnt sleeping well earlier this week, mostly due to waking up coughing, then I'd be awak and switch on more CNN, I think its caught up with me now cuz I sleeping ok. Been staying up till about 11ish working on stuf, Have to get up at 5:30 to get ready for the day and get kids ready for school. Im getting use to it again. Been just nibbling during the day. Ya know, it really stinks to have to stoap what you are making and clean it up and then get dinner going and then have to clean that up to resume working. , I envy you and your extra kitchen! LOL. I think since Im to the point I have to wait for my supplies to come in to continue, I am gonna work on labeling some stuf today.

Oops, I forgot to answer you others questions. The part I hate the most is

wrapping the basket. Yes, I do end up taping some parts of it, but I use the

clear packing tape and you can't even see it. I try to do any taping on the

bottom of the basket. I'm awaiting an order I place at Nashville Wraps the

other day because all the cello wrap I have is like 30" wide and it's never

wide enough so I ordered 40". That should make things easier. I also have

clear sheets of shrink wrap (which isn't wide enough either) and yesterday

I took the time to put two pieces on top of each other and used my sealer/cutter

to make a "bag" out of it. It's a little tricky since the sealer is only about 12"

long so I do 12" at a time, fold the part I just sealer & cut down towards me, did

another 12" and so forth. It took me about 5 minutes to make a bag, but it saved

me about 10" in frustration trying to tape, etc. If I didn't explain this good enough,

let me know and I'll try again.

I've noticed a few lists that are like that which are run by suppliers. I don't usually

Lillian, that list is a good idea. You know, recently I joined a list who was ran buy a supplier. Well some folks were worried that they were not reicieving their orders and I was among them, then found out why the delay and finally got my order. Well, in order to make these individuals know they will get their stuf, I posted my experience with this supplier. Well all I did was told the truth and got crucified by her (this supplier) "followers" and recieved a nasty note from her, herself . I guess they only want to hear about the fluffy nicy stuf and not the whole "real" stories. With that kind of attitude, I dont need to rent them space in my head.

I dont know if this made any sense but basically good for you for this new "real" list.

, Yep, I bought 3 of them last year at xmastime. I spray painted them gold. They look really cute. So far I hanvt sold one yet. I have 4 holiday soaps in each one with some white sparkly basket filler stuf. I think they look adorable but I think the shrinkwrap job might be detering the sales. Hubby says I have them priced too high at $16, thus our giftbasket thingy argument. Im not sure ive seen a LTD cataloge? do they have a web site?

, I agree, I mostly lurk to learn. I dont want to say the supplier here (or anywhere) and be yet accussed of slamming her, because I was not and never have ever slammed any supplier. I have a TON of lists on digest, or no mail and sometimes I just do some digging if I need to know something.

Lillian, that list is a good idea. You know, recently I joined a list who was ran buy a supplier. Well some folks were worried that they were not reicieving their orders and I was among them, then found out why the delay and finally got my order. Well, in order to make these individuals know they will get their stuf, I posted my experience with this supplier. Well all I did was told the truth and got crucified by her (this supplier) "followers" and recieved a nasty note from her, herself . I guess they only want to hear about the fluffy nicy stuf and not the whole "real" stories. With that kind of attitude, I dont need to rent them space in my head.

I dont know if this made any sense but basically good for you for this new "real" list.

Terri, that would be fun. I did manage to tape the bottom, I just should

have used clear packing tape instead of a couple of strips of scotch tape

(honestly what was I thinking! lol). I wonder if it would have been just

easier to take the sheet of shrink wrap and make my own tube (I found a seal

a meal at goodwill and it does an ok job with SW but you have to mess around

with it). and then put the sleigh in and fire away with the heat gun.

Anyway I want to do more and more gift basket or gift package type things so

im looking for an easier way.

Myabe at the next gathering I could do a demo.... I've got the shrink

wrap and basket thing down pretty good. I should have told you not to

tip the basket! DOH! on my part... I slide the basket to the edge of the

table and slip the taped part in place.
