Guest guest
Hi ! >>I also have a 25-year old married daughter and am waiting for the day she says I'm going to be a grandmother.<< I'm 25 years old. :-) It's so exciting to hear you talk about your excitement about becoming a grandmother someday. My husband and I are thinking about starting to have children maybe next year or the year after, but of course we don't have a specific timetable. We're not ready yet ... we would like to be more financially stable first and have a house (more room than our tiny apartment that we have now!), but if it happened now it would be OK, I'm sure. Anyway, I just smiled when I read what you wrote ... I can't wait to call our parents someday and say, "We're going to have a baby!" My mom is totally going to flip out when that happens, because it will be their first grandchild. I can't imagine what it must feel like to know that you're going to have a child ... must be a feeling of SO much joy!!! I can't wait to experience that someday. Jeff and I think we'd like to have two children someday, with their ages not too far apart. Anyway, you definitely have to post to the list telling us when your daughter is pregnant! That will be great news!!! :-) I heard a great quote once ... "Just when a mother thinks her job is done, she becomes a grandmother." haha As far as the dollar stores, they are so incredible! Actually, I bought most of my husband's Easter basket ingredients at a local dollar store here. I hope he didn't think that I was being cheap. They had some candy on sale for $1 each, and I bought a really cute basket for $3 there -- it has metal ivy and leaves around the side and is a light wicker color. We are using that basket again for his mom's Mother's Day gift, so it is really serving its purpose! And at $3, I had to get it. And I found this basketball hoop (plastic, of course) with a tiny basketball that you can use inside. I bought that for him ($1) because he loves basketball, and I thought he would get a kick out of it. You can definitely find awesome stuff for soaping at dollar stores, too -- cute gift baskets, containers, etc.! Congrats on your neat purchases! That bath salt container sounds awesome. What a find!!! I'll have to check out our dollar store again! hee hee :-) Take care, nne (Albany) :-)
