Guest guest
Dear Tina:Of course you are having a hard time, if you are not getting enough sleep. Can she take Melatonin or Valerian to help her calm down and sleep? My oldest son take Melatonin, though he still roams the house sometimes at night. I'm sure my sleep deprivation contributes to my chronic pain. Lee twest5601@... wrote: HI GUYS! SORRY HAVEN'T BEEN ON MUCH. I CAN'T HANDLE ALYSSA. SHE IS THROWING REAL TANTRUMS. SHE IS WAKING UP FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS JUST SCREAMING AND HOLLORING AND BEFORE SHE NEVER GAVE A PROBLEM ABOUT GOING TO BED NOW I HAVE TO FIGHT WITH HER. SHE IS DOING GOOD THOUGH. THE PHYSICAL THEREPIST GAVE HER A SPECIAL WALKER TO USE AND SHE IS WALKING EVERYWHERE. SHE IS DRIVING ME INSANE BUT AT THE SAME TIME I AM HAPPY FOR HER. IT IS JUST THE SLEEPING PART I CAN'T FIGURE OUT. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest guest
Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone that is sold over-the-counter as a dietary supplement. It helps people sleep and helps with jet lag. You can ask your pharmacist about it. Valerian is an herb that you can get in many forms at health food stores. It helps calm people. It is important for health that all people sleep. Lee twest5601@... wrote: WHAT KIND OF DRUGS ARE THOSE?I DON'T REALLY LIKE GIVING MEDICINE IF IT IS NOT NECESSARY. Guest guest
Dear Tina2, I don't have any brilliant suggestions. The one thing I found useful when I was a nanny (lol yes I was hahaha) was to sing or play some gentle classical music such as Mozart, especially the singing though. Other then that perhaps talking to your paediatric specialist may help you out? You both need your sleep. Gentle hugs, Aisha.
