Guest guest
I have 6 semi cool (they have some runs in them from where the soap ran down the inside of the mold) looking Easter egg soaps!! (used the jello egg mold) I used my oxides and aquamarines.Any that were mixed with clear base have a semi transparent look to them... they aren't totally clear, but light comes through and it has a really neat effect. the ones mixed with white base come out pale and almost pastal colored. I think I may like M & P better using these for colorants. From what I found on my search these colorants don't bleed... that was part of my problem. Another problem was the colors mutating over time. The only thing I want to do with M & P is to make up herbal soaps in a loaf and slice them. I'm wayyyyyyy to impatient to deal with doing multi colored soaps like I did these eggs... 1/2 way through the second color when the white base got too think on me I was ready to chuck the whole mess out the door. lol Colleen do not fear me getting into M & P... I'm a long way off from even thinking I can sell this stuff. I have atleast 6 months of playing left to do! I have to give you M & Pers a round of applause... you are very and I mean VERY talented soapmakers. How you find the patients for this craft is amazing. If I can get the camera to work tomorrow I'll try to get a picture of one of the eggs and post it to the list. These are going into baskets for my step mom and sister for Easter.
