Guest guest
Listees, Didn't the work comp admin and other insurers discontinue the use of the code 97250, myofascial release, a few years ago and thus no longer reimburse for that service? And if so, is there a more appropriate code than 97124? H. Albany

Guest guest
, Bob, et al; We had a problem with myofascial release (97120) being denied by insurers until, at the suggestion of some posters here we began using the -59 suffix indicating a separate procedure. We make sure the chart notes reflect the non-spinal muscles and structures treated. So far we are collecting much better. Les At 08:14 PM 6/25/01 -0700, Dr. W.
